With the likelihood of Wayne Rooney loosing his job in the near future. Would you like to see him at Celtic?
Personally I would love Brendan to invite him to our coaching team and have him work with our strikers and other attackers. This would give Wayne the opportunity to work closely with a top level coach and gain experience which would help him in his next job.
However, it would bring Celtic many benefits. It would raise our profile even more. It would allow our attackers to learn from one of the best players the game has seen in recent years and hopefully make them even better.
He is also a Celtic fan, so would hopefully jump at the chance.

Why don't we bring in someone who is good at they're job .

The way he has lost managerial job after job, it's clear his reputation and persona sadly far outweigh his coaching ability.

Just because you are not a good manager, does not mean you are not a good coach.
For example harry Kewell was a good coach and the players spoke highly of him but he has not done well in management.
Martin O'Neil was a great manager but by his own admission, did not do much coaching and left that to others.
I personally believe Rooney has a lot of knowledge about the game that he can share and because of what he has achieved in the game, people would look up to him.

We don’t need Rooney to raise our profile. His management record and style are both terrible. and If we are accepting Celtic fan as part of the job spec then why not consider me for the post?
Absolute non starter
Rodgers will go May 26 as planned, and we’ll have a far better manager than Rooney lined up.

I did not say I wanted Rooney as our manager. I said I would like him as part of the coaching team to work with our attackers. Rodgers would still be the manager.

I didn't say that being a Celtic fan was part of the job spec. I said the fact he is a Celtic fan may increase our chance of attracting him.
You may want to spend more time reading posts and make sure you understand the content before responding.

How would hiring rooney raise our profile? And where would it raise it?

I disagree. I'm not saying he can coach players to be as good as him but I am sure he picked up plenty of tips and tricks that he can pass on.
For example McCoist is a terrible manager but he passed on his experience to Kenny miller who improved under his tutelage.

Why don't we just bring Kewell back as a coach or Damien Duff, both seemed well thought of and good at there job.
I know Duff is doing well in Ireland but we could offer him a top job in the new academy.

I would be open to that as well Jonbhoy. Anything that improves us on or off the park should be explored.
