Think Bernardo has earned a stating place. His link up play is excellent and he brings a bit of dynamism to a sometimes flat midfield. No worries about Engels, we've seen what he can bring, just needs to be more consistent.
Although thought Brugge were excellent on the ball, we gave them too much time and space. They were running 40, 50 yards not being shut down then picking us off with simple one twos. We still feel a bit lightweight and lost lots of 50/ 50s. Also we are far too slow in getting from back to front.
In the end it was a good point we probably wouldn't have got going by past experience.
The Leipzig performance probably took our expectations to a level we are not yet at consistently but that's the aim.
We have the bones of a really good team and hopefully the next few windows can see the tweaks and upgrades that will take us forwards.

Good post chasaboy,
It was a terrible mistake but I thought CCV played well for the remainder of the game, when other players might’ve crumbled.

We were not fully committed to the press in the first half. This means players get more time on the ball and can make the pass with no pressure as our players were not on them quick enough.

If we always played the way we did against RB the big money teams would strip us bare. Still love to get there though ?.

Agree with that chasa boy. For me I genuinely think Hatate a luxury we can’t afford in Europe. Very poor. Think Brugge manager got better of Brendan tactics wise first half and also thought whole team looked leggy from the off. Just not switched on. Fair play to Brugge it was high energy from the off we couldn’t deal with which was a bit strange. I was thinking maybe big scales for Taylor at left back and all day long Bernardo in before Hatate.
