I know I have banged this drum before but today we saw it again.

One thing that constantly annoys me is this delay in making a decision on VAR.
A goal/ penalty/ incident takes place and the ref calls a decision.
THEN the ref can be seen with his had to his ear listening and discussing with the VAR assistant.
THEN the referee decides he needs to see the incident on the wee monitor and goes to the side of the park.
THEN (after viewing a couple of times) , he waves his hands in a square shape and announces his decision.
Meanwhile, the players and fans are left kicking their heels waiting.

I get VAR and it might improve eventually but.
WHY can't the incident be played on the big screens and the discussion be broadcast so the PAYING SPECTATORS/ TV Sponsors can see and hear what is happening?
It stinks in the way it is in my opinion.

VAR never seems to take its time after Sevco goals though! I don't know if the delay aftrr the first goal was the smoke cannister or combing through the play to find any reason to disallow the goal. But sevco goal was straight to the middle after one of the sevco players climbing all over Scales with his hands on his shoulders, but no, all good to go!

The delay and dithering about is one of the main reasons people don't like VAR. Today the referee gave an instant penalty decision which was confirmed by numerous replays, but still the VAR official made the referee deliberate over the screen - only to validate his own decision. The 3-4 minute delay contributed to the miss and could have affected the result. They even checked the og for a non-offside, while their goal was cleared in five seconds.
No wonder there was a review of the malpractices under VAR and no wonder Celtic supporters are maybe more suspicious than others.
