Apparently the record are reporting bernabei was arrested early this morning for drunk driving and breach of the peace. Ange won’t be happy with him, I think that will be curtailed asap.

If true and he gets charged is there not a new citizen peried that if you get charged with any offence in the first 3 months you could be sent to your country origin.

This could be bad for him.

If it's true then it's a very poor move by the lad. Ange won't tolerate that kinda behaviour from any individual player for the overall good of the team, the club and the fans.

You can't say we won't get rid, it happened to Bolingoli when he went to Spain. This, if true, is arguably worse.

Imo, drink driving is so selfish, blatant disregard for not just your own life but anyone you might hurt in the process. There's no excuse for it and he should feel the consequences of his actions, if this is what happened, of course.

{Ed007's Note - Maybe we should rip up our captain's contract as well, with 2 weeks to go in the transfer window I'm sure there will be plenty of clubs willing to sign a convicted drunk driver like McGregor on a free.
The comparison to Bolingoli is just as ludicrous as that suggestion.}

The selfishness of ANYONE doing this is beyond reproach. It has never and will never sat well with me that our captain has done it. Youthful exuberance is no excuse and regardless of someone's position, they should suffer the consequences of their actions.

Just because I'm a celtic fan doesn't mean I will turn a blind eye to something because "the captain did it too".

I can respect that Mcgregor is a superb player but honestly, I believe he should have felt the punishment more than a years ban from driving. He could have killed someone. Are you telling me you're okay with that?

Bolingoli put people's lives at risk, mcgregor put people's lives at risk and if true, Bernabei has put people's lives at risk. This isn't okay just because they play football. I understand people make mistakes but I'm not over the moon to have the captain of the club I love be willing to do that. Its unforgivable and just because noones died or been injured doesn't mean he should get a free pass.
