With the present first team squad as it is this afternoon, taking any pre Summer deals for Jota and CCV out of the conversation, what deals would you bhoys like to see take place in the remainder of this transfer window? ?

☘ ? ☘ ? ☘.

Lewis Ferguson.

Gudmonsson, AZ Alkmaar, will be next in.

Ferguson would be a good signing. We should be signing young Scottish talent.

Hail Hail
???.

Jfp wee have far to many midfielders mate I do think ferguson would be a great signing though .

5.) 21 Jan 2022

Barkas, Ajeti, Johnston out the door.

I'd like to see many out the door! As for in's, a decent backup goalie would be good as Hazard has gone.

Winger for me chinks.

8.) 21 Jan 2022

Ask Ange that question, because he is the only one who knows and we will get what we need.
No one could ever predicted we would be in this position 9 months ago. Ange is the man.

I'd rather we'd have signed ferguson than guchi . not that I think guchi is bad . but through possible international call ups . a possible 4 players out the first team would be a big miss . out of curiosity does anyone know how the youngsters who got picked up by german clubs are faring?

{Ed007's Note - I doubt Ideguchi will be getting called up to Japan any time soon and it'll be a massive surprise if Hatate and/or Maeda do. It's an absolute story that people have latched onto without actually looking into if these players are normally involved with the national team - which they aren't.}

DrB, I read an article a few weeks back about the boys that went over and they've had a wee bit of a tike of it over there. From what I understand, they've both had pretty bad injuries are are not long back in full training. The language barrier has been another tough obstacle to overcome as well by the sounds of it.

Ed . ta.

{Ed007's Note - ?

Hope your right Ed if we keep these three and only lose rogic I think we stand a real good chance of turning the klan over. Soon as Turnbull and kyogo are fit though we will be in good stead . Saying that though one game at a time the game tomorrow and a daunting trip to swinecastle before that game.

{Ed007's Note - Hatate (24 y.o.) has never been capped at senior level, Ideguchi (25 y.o.) hasn't been near the national team since 2019 (although he has got 15 caps but 11 of them were in 2017) the same as Maeda (24 y.o.)

Don’t know anything about the foreign players, but Lewis Ferguson is head and shoulders above all the younger Scottish talent. We should sign him sooner rather than later. Don’t want to lose him to the other side which might become a real possibility as time goes by.

Lewis ferguson all day long.

Rob. ta. mind reading at time one of the big motivating factors for leaving was the Germans gave them a clear progression route mapped out individually ( dortmund and Munich I if I remember) . what was expected of them and what the in return could expect etc. was our set up that bad we couldn't have a clear career plan fir development. or where the boys being unfair?

16.) 21 Jan 2022
21 Jan 2022 19:10:36
Oldkilly, what about Boli? He’d be first to go .

17.) 21 Jan 2022
21 Jan 2022 19:19:38
How much would the dons want though? A don't think he has long left on his contract?

18.) 21 Jan 2022
21 Jan 2022 19:22:25
Also Scottish talent we need a gd balance of foreign players with home grown talent and McGregor and Ferguson hatate in the middle of the park would be frightening plenty of strength in deep in the midfield ??.

Lewis Ferguson’s contract expires on May 31st 2024.
This transfer window or the summer transfer window would be the best time for Aberdeen to cash in or his value might drop.
To get top dollar there needs to be at least 2 years left on the players contract.
Remember it was reported that Aberdeen wouldn’t accept £5 Million for McKenna, so I don’t think Ferguson will be cheap.

{Ed007's Note - Lewis Ferguson, his dad and his agent Bill McMurdo were raging that Aberdeen turned down a £2 million bid from Watford last year and they are not happy with the way he's been treated overall with broken promises & "gentlemen's agreements" etc and remember Lewis came from Hamilton and is still one of Aberdeen's lowest paid players.}

If Ferguson is Head and Shoulders above every young player in Scotland. Why no bids for him. The money down in England would be loose change to get his services. Don't get the hype myself but I'm still holding out for Johnston to turn a corner.

21 Jan 2022 20:44:44
Thanks Ed.
I would rather Celtic signed him before he ends up at Ibrox.
I can see a young Broony in Lewis and I would love for him to play for Celtic.

{Ed007's Note - I think he fancies a move to England, Buzz but Celtic should certainly still be asking the question.}

22.) 21 Jan 2022
21 Jan 2022 20:56:17
Johnston has his chance, I personally don't think he is good enough, saying that I thought Ralston was done at Celtic and look how that turned out. So I am probably wrong lol.

21 Jan 2022 21:02:26
Auf1888 I never thought for a minute I would agree with you but I’m with you regarding the hype about Ferguson. Don’t hold your breath on Johnston turning a corner.

T1M Turnbull might struggle to get back into the side when fit again. He wasn't exactly setting the heather on fire before his injury.
On the Feguson going to the rotten mob, I wouldn't worry about that. Can't see Aberdeen allowing hm to run his contract down for 3 years to allow them to carry on their signing policy of getting players for nowt on pre-contracts.
