Griffiths lifestyle would have fitted in better 25 plus years ago. He was a good striker in his day, but trouble has always followed him, due to his lifestyle, that coupled with the amount of media and social media nowadays, everything is seen, he has been a silly boy, but I doubt he has any regrets, if he did he would have learned a lot sooner, to sort himself out. He has to want to sort himself out, i personally don't think he wants that enough to change. He will end up playing elgin city or the like.

true. H was given a lot of help but, ultimately, he did not have the desire to change.
Shame but like so many others, wasted a God-given talent.

Yep, I agree with your points on LG Buckiboy79.

LG was very lucky in terms of timing when Ange came in, as it was only due to the complete lack of options upfront that he was reluctantly handed a 12 month contract extension and look how that turned out.

He got more chances at Celtic than most players but on his day was up there with the best of them at putting the ball in the net.

But when NL states that during lockdown players were coming into Lennoxtown and training, working on their fitness and LG, never came in at all, then, for me it was the beginning of the end.

I'll remember his goals with fondness but IMO, he is never a Celtic great - let alone legendary status.

I hope for his sake he's invested his money wisely, if not, due to his severe lack of intelligence and lifestyle, he could well end up yet another football hard luck story.

Waste of talent that should have e been banging them in for us for a good few years yet, his record is decent tho 123 goals and 14 medals, that's more than any sevco player in the last 10 years and that's all their players together ??.

The wages Celtic chose to give him this season was a massive mistake.
His salary could’ve been used on a badly missed 4th striker and I’m certain we would’ve got more points from St. Mirren, Dundee United and Livingston.

Biggest waste of talent I think I've seen was Andy Ritchie what a player he couldve been . more was tolerated blind eye turned to back then . Griffiths could've been worse and had no career at all?

Buzz i get your point mate, but we have the points on the board and i seriously doubt we would have brought in another striker if LG had been released, not when Ange said he knew what business he wanted to do in January, we made a move for Maeda or enquired about him in the summer but Maeda himself said he wanted to complete the J-League season. Now i still don't see us signing a replacement for LG even though he has been released, when or if Ajeti is sold that's when i think we will dip into the market again.
