Being a shop window to the Anglo Saxon league should be embraced and exploited for all its worth. It's a fact even if we're not exactly over the moon about it. As well as providing the opportunity to play in front of 60,000 and on a European stage while at Celtic we serve as a catalyst to bigger money south of Hadrian's wall. The strategy (1) buy young players who are appreciating assets although they will always need blended with experience who are depreciating assets. Combine that with academy players we have knitted ourselves and the best of Scottish home grown talent (2) Secure them ideally on 4 year deals so we get at least two seasons out them or it's demoralising and means constant change which is disruptive (3) sell them with sufficient time to go on contracts to maintain their residual value and (4) give the Anglo Saxons nothing cheap when it's time to move them on. Take big bucks from them with big bucks. The days of accepting low ball offers from south of the border should be well and truly over they're quick to tell us how superior and better off they are financially.

Jota is a classic example of exceptional young talent that can be unearthed, enjoyed for a few seasons and moved on at a healthy profit. Rather than bemoan that fact we accept that's just how it is but make it work for us. That's business.
