Following on from media reports, do we want to see the derby match postponed?

My understanding is that should the club seek postponement that we would be required to move 3 matches? (Someone can correct me if that's wrong) .

Personally i don't like the idea of us playing catch up again this season. Last year our postponed games had a clear effect on us and allowing them to get points on the board early gives them a massive psycological advantage.

With ange suggesting we have no more signings to make im also not confident in our squad to be playing so many catch up matches in the coming months, especially if we continue our europeon run.

With the likes of Jota and Giakoumakis back i think we have enough in the squad to cover the voids left by those heading on international duty.

The rule book doesn’t state that all the games need to be moved.
My understanding is Celtic can pick and choose which games if any, they can ask to be postponed.
There’s No way that the SPFL would allow Celtic to postpone 3 league games especially when they don’t know how far Celtic will go in Europe.
The SPFL will have a decision to make if Celtic ask for the Glasgow Derby to be moved to another date.

Was thinking about this too DK, it's a difficult one. For starters I don't care what The Sevies thoughts on postponement are, the facts are that going by the rules we have every right to ask for postponement, just as they have utilised this rule in the past. As you say it will cause fixture congestion come the business end of the season. Maybe we could ask for a weeks extension to end of season just like Rangers got back in 2008? With this season being so valuable to the winners we will have to get this decision right and decide what's best for us .
