I think we all agree that we don't yet have the strength in depth at this level but last night we need to adapt and if we are in a position where we are a goal up against a good side away from home, then there's no shame in ditching the philosophy. Big Ange got it completely wrong when he still wanted to go toe to toe with a very good team with a far weaker front 3 after we made the subs. There's what, 15 mins to go and we are 2-1 up, under the cosh and he plays the same way. Play Abada up top on his own, bring on soro and scales or Murray instead of Ajeti and MJ, and see out the game in a 5-4-1. Flood the edge of our box with bodies and eliminate any space. Yet we still want to go all out attack. It's not just a better squad that we need to go to next level. We need to be more Street wise.

I admire it in a way. Anyway it's a work in progress, for sure we need a stronger bench but hopefully another transfer window or 2 and that will happen. Very proud of the bhoys last night.

SmkmeAkipper,
You do make a good point and Ange could’ve put Soro in to help McCarthy and flood the midfield.
I felt sorry for Ralston because Leverkusen always had a spare man, wide on their left.
Ralston couldn’t get tight because it would’ve left too much space inside.
Five in the midfield would’ve helped in that last 20 minutes.
Only Lyon have scored more away goals than Celtic from 32 clubs but we only picked up 3 points from the 9 possible away points.

I just see the flexibility to change things and see out a game after we do all the good work, would be an added bonus to big Ange's tactics. Angeball is great but if we kicked the ball out the park every chance we got in those last 12 mins they ain't scoring twice.
