Is it just me or am I the only one that doesn't think we have an injury crisis? We have injuries yes but a crisis? No.

Cal Mac and Kyogo is really it. Jullien and Forrest have been long term for a long time now.

I get that we are all hurting but we need to be honest about our team and our club. Let's not make excuses. Over the course of a season injuries and suspensions will happen. There should be players, a system, a manager and coaches that can deal with that.

The truth is that there are deficiencies in every area there and too many that we can paper over.

Giakoumakis hasn't kicked a ball since signed. I can't remember exact dates around the rumours and then contact for his transfer but let's say it was 2 weeks before window closing. We are now 4 weeks after the window closed and in that time he hasn't been able to get himself in shape either prior to transfer or since transfer. 6 weeks! 6 weeks and he can't play 15mins of a game? Can't come on to have an impact? Does that not ring alarm bells with anyone else. What condition was he in when we signed him?

As for Forrest if you look he missed 75% of last season and has hardly featured for injury this season.

I just don't buy this injury crisis nonsense. Its a convenient excuse for those that still won't see that our squad is still nowhere near good enough.

he came in on transfer deadline day mate but you add two weeks on if you want if that helps your argument.

I think you are maybe missing the point UI. He is a professional footballer. What was he doing at VVV Venlo? No pre season there? No games?

Anyway we sign him and he isn't match fit but in 3-4 weeks when we are down to just Ajeti he can't play 15mins? Now he is injured. It doesn't really give a sense of confidence.

People seem to make out that we are in this spell of bad luck or something and its all going to change dramatically. From what I have saw so far without Kyogo we are bang average. If he stays fit we might be able to paper over the cracks and get some results but its a big ask for it to be carried by one player.

Plus Juranovic hamstring and McCarthy fitness, we are definitely not benefiting from all this PeeKay.

When the squad is so limited in certain areas and we lose players in those positions it just looks like a crisis. When you look at the roles of the players we have released, sold or their loan ended it's very apparent we are 'bottom-heavy' with plenty of defenders and 'keepers, but limited choices in CDM, CAM and strikers. There are also substitutes in the squad that are not game-changer quality.
