For anyone in doubt about Callum McGregor's sending off, here is evidence of why it was not a sending off.

The rules states: "If the referee plays advantage or allows a 'quick' free kick for an offence which 'interfered with or stopped a promising attack', the YC is not issued."

Guess it depends what the ref has booked him for? Was it for breaking up play or was it for reckless challenge.

Either way Callum was stupid for diving into the second challenge. Personally find the constant blaming of officials for our performances vs them this season embarrassing. Yes their have been plenty calls i have been frustrated at throughout the season but do i think that is the reason we have lost any of those matches? Absolutely not.

Cant wait to see the back of this season and now just praying we get this summer right.

M8, without going over it all today again, WHY haven’t the club went public and asked the very same question? Surely if the rule is as clear as you state ( which I’m no arguing with you that it isn’t) you’d like to think Celtic would make an issue out of it?

Celtic tend not to air their washing in public but I would be surprised if no one has contacted the SFA about this.

@Dk_97 - the referee already told Kennedy that McGregor got booked for a reckless challenge. Therefore, the card should not get issued as he played advantage.

Im sure that means it should be a yellow if its reckless? no yellow if it was just for breaking up play?
