Mentioned yesteday why has howes reps not killed the story well sly reporting they've just killed it, not close to a return to management and if at all its the summer, this is turning into a clusterf#ck as per .

I'm with you on this Mally, I don't like the vibe with Eddie Howe and rightly or wrongly think he's waiting for something else in Engerland like Crystal Palace or Newcastle.

Personally I think we should get a D. O. F. signed (e. g. Harkin) and then talk to the ex Dortmund coach, Favre.

Did anyone actually think he'd want to take over this season?

No Kev, not at all. I think it's more about getting the right individual (s) in place asap in order that they can start planning for next season.

Then when the transfer window opens they can sell/ buy the players required early and give the new players time to get and get used to their surroundings.

I expect to see Mckay, the new DOF and new manager presented to the media at the same time, hence why McKay is coming in early.

You could well be right Del Bhoy.

Or the night before the start of next season Kennedy is announced as manager with the statement "we tried to get others " accompanied by the sound of pennies rattling in the biscuit tin"😁.

This biscuit tin thing annoys the life out of me especially from Celtic fans, leave that to the other side and the media . For a so called biscuit tin we have done pretty well over the years, and anything we have achieved has been done honestly.

Don’t know if Howe is asking for too much power or PL has screwed up again. Howe can’t be allowed to appoint he DoF because that means he’ll leave with Howe when he goes.
But IMO Lawwell shouldn’t be anywhere near this. He’s leaving soon, so DD should handle the manager appointment and leave PL to deal with the basic day to day stuff. PL is the main reason Rodgers left, and the main reason we blew ten.

It’s a bit of a weird one for me. I always thought the way it worked was the D. O. F picked the head coach and not the other way around. If we get the guy from Bournemouth in and Howe decides to leave in 2 years time we will be back to square one.

Degsy, I can't see there being any realistic scenario where Eddie Howe would have the power to decide to just take a DOF with him if he left. And even if he did, what club would be willing to sack whoever they currently have to replace them with Howe's mate? A DOF would likely play a big part in making the decision for any club to take Howe away from Celtic in the first place so it would be nuts if that DOF then got sacked in order for it to happen.
