I am sure when Mowbray was sacked we took just under 3 months to confirm a permanent manager. Even though it turned out to be Lennon.

The longest was in the year 2000 after John Barnes got sacked at the start of February and Kenny Dalglish took charge for nearly 20 games.
It was worth the wait until MON took over and won the treble.
Hopefully that’s a good omen.
