I've just seen the news that former Celtic player Johannes Edvaldsson has sadly passed away at the age of 70 years old.
He played for Celtic for 5 years and he was known to the fans as "shuggie".
Icelandic Shuggie was a very versatile player but played mostly at Centre Half. RIP.

Big Shuggy he was known as. He scored some great goals for us and would often go up front even though he was a centre back. RIP Big man.

Shuggy survived a brain haemorrhage in his 40s.
I read there he played a big part in the 4-2 win against Rangers to win the league.

A giant of a man on and off the pitch and he scored a good few goals in his 5 seasons or so. Big Shuggie RIP.

Malika we always stay in the Abbey in the Bog near St. Eugenes. Although over the last few years we’ve stayed with friends in Burnfoot, Co. Donegal. Last year we’d a Latin Mass in Longtower then a Guinness with a free bowl of stew on the Bog Inn. Beat that! The best pub in Derry.
