Now am just putting this out there Benitez has just left his job in China? Could this be something Celtic should look into?

Just read that myself, he said previously he was interested after BR walked but never got a call from Lawwell.
Would he come here now?

Think he would do the director of football role if not the manager job? No idea if he would be good at it just thinking out loud.

Benitez was on £12 million a year in China.
He was also on £4 million a year at Newcastle.
If he did come to Celtic it wouldn’t be for the money.

Agree Buzz Bomb, Rafa doesn't need the cash although we could afford to pay him well.

Given his experience and successes I'd love him to rock up to the East End of Glesga and take the Hoops forward initially as Manager and then D. O. F.

As sad as it is, this sound like pie in the sky the way things are going at the moment. We need a huge thing to happen if we’re to regain our title ASAP, otherwise the spiral could spin further downwards!

Is Ralf Rangnick definitely out of our league excuse the pun? He’d be a great fit for our business model buying established players who are not household names and developing youth. As much as I have no interest in anything that happens south of the border football wise or other our unique selling points should be the chance to play European football and as a shop window to the EPL.

Good afternoon JFP, how are you doing?

Stuartslater10 - when Pandoras box was opened and released the ills of the world only one thing remained, hope.

Apparently there are moves going on behind the scenes to totally reshape the footballing side of things at CP (just what I've read) , regardless have faith and hope - good things are coming.

Dermot Desmond son Ross is joining the board in hopefully a hands on capacity.
That’s got to be positive news because they’ll maybe push the boat out similar to 2016.
It wouldn’t be the first time the Desmond family have used their own money.
I think Dermot financed MON and Brendan’s salaries.
I don’t know if it was a top up or if he financed 100% of their wages.

BB I don’t think DD has spent any of his own cash since.

JFP
I don’t think he has.
If he does finance us more this season,
He will need to live with the fact, that he had to power to finance 10 in a row last summer.
Fair enough big Fraser didn’t want to come but we should’ve got the big left footed CB from Sampdoria and Ivan Toney from Peterborough.
It wouldn’t have broken the bank but they were more expensive than the targets we brought in.

I’m sure there’s things going on behind the scenes but at what level. The fact they went for Lennon in the first place or whoever even allowed Lawell to do it is worrying. In a way I’m hoping I’m not able to renew my ticket as I “forgot” to to it for this current season. That will mean there’s been a major coup. On the other hand I could renew it and get mint seats as myself, my Brother and kids have had to endure some right tad**rs over the past couple of season. In actual fact we had to write to JP to request a move which he helped with . Love The Celtic anyway 💚.

think DD was paying larsson and robbie keanes wages to.

No doubt he financed Roy Keanes wages when he was here also.

DD, like him or not, isn't the type of individual to come out on the balcony and should we did this or we're not doing that.

He does his business behind the scenes away from the public eye, and has been very successful in business for more than 40 years operating in that way.

The monkeys in the press would love him to be spouting nonesense like wee at Hearts or Dave the thief King once did at SEVCO as tgey could fill their columns on a daily basis - can you imagine?

I'm quietly confident he will sort this out and we'll soon have players on the park that want to give everything for Celtic and their Manager and get us back to winning ways.

Pedro I agree,
I don’t think he would send his son into a circus.
They will both do everything they can to turn things around.
