Unfortunately we aren't likely to hear much during the player and managements isolation period. However the only man that can address the current situation is Dermot Desmond the reason being is that everything under that needs cleared out namely Lawell, Lennon, Hammond and Kennedy. The last we heard from the board was before the turn of the year after the fan protests when we were told by the men behind the wire that the aforementioned were capable of turning things around. That has now proven dramatic not to be the case and that fact should be acknowledged today. They now have no credibility and should be sacked and a combined statement come apology made to the fans today.

We are where we are through mismanagement on and off the field at every level culminating in the latest debacle that was pints in Dubai. The club has shown nothing but contempt for the fans and have allowed a widening disconnect to develop. As we agreed yesterday we collectively bankrolled the dream and they let it die. They gambled with the 10 and lost it last night while 13 players and the management team self isolated as a result of a monumental act of self harm gross negligence and arrogance. The club were caught asleep at the wheel to quote the Green Brigade warning that the board chose to ignore and we live to regret. It's not the losing the league we can do defeat it's the total lack of professionalism and the manner of the collapse.

Change is needed now to prevent our free fall and further demise. The good news is the league is lost within the first two weeks of January which gives us the opportunity to sell our prize assets and want aways if there are buyers appoint a new management team and let the rebuild commence for next season. Mr Desmond acted to bankroll Martin O'Neil and to appoint Rodgers after Ronnie. Action of that magnitude is again needed now. Mr Desmond needs to pull something special out of the hat as a managerial appointment to have any hope of 50,000 season tickets and 10,000 on the waiting list next season. Because that won't happen otherwise and the one thing he should understand is the financial implications of that for him as the majority shareholder.

JFP I watched the game last night and lawell was sitting in the stand wearing a mask so obviously he is not at home isolating. maybe he should come out and make an explanation to the fans. won't hold my breath though.
