I liked the fact Lennon came out fighting today after stating there's no justification for him to be sacked.
To be fair he has a point because up until last week Celtic had won 33 out of 36 domestic games.

I was just thinking that myself Buzz bomb, only a couple of months ago loads of fans were on twitter etc putting up Sevconians celebrations when lennon got the job, then putting up pictures of him holding up the league. I appreciate we haven’t really played well since the start of the year but surely the media and sevco etc are writing us off at their peril. Like others I was pissed that we dropped points to aberdeen but if all the media slagging, and bigging up of the Sevconians doesn’t wake us up out of the slumber, nothing will.
Hopefully they will realise you shouldn’t bait a bear, And we start performing how we know we can . Everyone on the same page, after this season I’m sure there will be changes through management and the squad . For now maybe we should all back them through this slump just so we can give it back to the Sevconians and their sycophants in the media .

He should've been sacked after the Cluj fiasco. Yes he deserves credit for the change in system after the new year which undoubtedly won us the league, but how many times is he going to play fantasy football and cost us points by continuing to play players out of position? He doesn't learn from his mistakes and when he realises that he has fu@$ed the team selection he is too arrogant to change it as soon as it needs changed. You only have to look at the last 3 derbies where we have been dominated and outplayed by the newest club in the country!

I am really undecided when it comes to the manager. Part of me feels that either his heart isn't in it or that his mental health is struggling a bit right now. He has my sympathy if it is his mental health and I hope the club is monitoring and supporting him if it is. But I was delighted he came out and showed a bit of fight today. Its the first I have seen from him in a long time and hopefully we can turn a corner in the next couple of games now we are slowly getting more bodies back.

Malkybhoy you are correct regarding the last three derbies and I’m so envious of the trophies won in the last nine years by that new club.

Your spot on Markie,
His health comes first and people inside Celtic Park and Lennoxtown should know if he is okay.
I liked to see the old Lenny sticking up for himself and his players today.
As long as he’s okay I would give him more time.

I am saying this now if Lennon is in charge at the start of next year we will not have 10iar. I really really hope I am wrong but I honestly don't believe we will win the league under him in charge.

Yes he's won 33 out of 36 domestic games but any manager with the resources and players Celtic have compared to other teams in Scotland that should be the norm, it's when we have step up a gear that the failures start I. e out the last 2 CL qualifying rounds, dominated by Sevco in the last three games and that's the issue.

Malkybhoy, like I mentioned in a post yesterday, if we change manager now you can pretty much guarantee we don’t win the league this year purely as it will take time for a new man to come in and put his ideology into the team. Also I don’t particularly want someone that knows the Scottish game, I’d rather a really good coach who can utilise and introduce a vibrant young side . They aren’t just hanging around waiting for us to offer them a job, when a change is made it needs to be properly invested into regarding us getting the right man and not a quick fix which we will need to change against the end of the year . I appreciate we haven’t played well against that mob recently but personally if we lost to them and won the league I know what I would choose.

Rodgers 69% win rate at celtic
Lennon 70% first time and 79% this time.
Stats don't lie.
Going through a blib without elhamod, Bitton, forrest, eduard, Griffiths, Johnston, Christie, Julien, every one of these guys would be in first team of Any other club in Scotland.
10 in a row here we go.

Hope he now shows as much fight and defiance in the technical area. We all can see things are not right and appreciate there have been some extenuating and detrimental circumstances.
However, his weary, static body language and lack of motivation have been evident for a while and I really hope he has snapped out of it, reinstated his authority and gets them playing like a Celtic team.

Divcelt. It's not the games that Lennon has won that's the issue, it's the games that he's lost through poor team selections, tactics etc.
I don't like the way Rodgers done the dirty on us but that aside I believe he's a far better manager than Lennon.
I think we always knew that Rodgers would eventually move to the EPL it was always just a matter of time, however I don't see any English clubs after Neil Lennon.

The rats name still makes my skin crawl. The one thing Lennon is if nothing else is genuine.

DivCelt - Jock Stein’s win rate was 71% - you aren’t honestly saying you think Lennon is a better manager than Jock?!

Stats are useful but not everything. We’re really struggling at the moment an Lennon’s previous winter rate doesn’t matter - it’s what he does (or doesn’t do) now that matters and he needs to get the finger out!

For lennon it doesn't look good sitting with his hands in his pockets then giving the team a rocket at half time to up their performances. So often we've came out and had a much improved 2nd half after a pedestrian first this season (hun game excluded) maybe if he was more vocal during the first half and gave his players directions/ tactics then he won't need to tear into them at half time constantly. Maybe that's why he's apparently losing the dressing room.
