I was very surprised at the Lennon Poll earlier. When I voted, there was about 80% didn't believe he could turn things around and deliver the 10. We've been terrible practically all season and it's been painful to watch but last season we played some brilliant stuff and were absolutely ruthless at times. I think we can get back to that but it needs to start now. Aberdeen is a must win, for psychological reasons more than anything, and should be the perfect platform for the players to finally show that they're up to the challenge. I've not given up yet, not by a long shot. HWG10IAR.

Well said Kev.
A SFA cup makes it 4 trebles and the 10 is also a no brainer for me. It is the time to rally the troops not divide. No comments about the manager needed, enough already said. Its the Club and supporters against the rest, and the manager and players are an integral part of that, same as us supporters.
Onwards and Upwards to the 10.

Playing well last season means nothing and the most sensible thing Lennon has said lately is we can't live off the past.

I can’t say the poll surprised me Kev, a poll like that goes up right after yet another diabolical performance in that fixture, that’s the last 3 games at least against that mob we’ve been a shambles, outplayed, outfought, no passion, nothing. Yes we were missing a few players, would that have made a difference? I’d like to have thought so, but we all believe we’ve the best squad in the country, yet the team available produce that? Then lennon talks after the game about his substitutions not having an impact in the game? We were rotten right up till his subs at already 2-0 down, what was he expecting? You’ve then got mcgregor coming out again moaning about fans missing. is that not the same issue for most clubs in Britain? Those players on Saturday seem to forget 50 odd thousand fans have bought season tickets again this year, not getting into the games and that’s the best they can produce against our biggest rivals? We can put the blinkers on and dress it up again if we like, bottom line is our performances this season so far are average at best, and this notion that because we’ve won every trophy going the past 3/ 4 seasons will automatically guarantee this 10th title then I’m sorry, I’m not buying into that. On current form Celtic have real title challenge on their hands make no mistake about it.

There is no title challange if We don't improve now. Make no mistake about this rangers will win the league unless we either improve or sack lennon. The board have backed lennon to the hilt so he to get the team firing on all cylinders or leave.

@liamlennon - I understand what you're saying but I don't agree that it counts for nothing. This squad has shown that they can play stylish, championship-winning football under Lennon but it's up to him to recapture that, and quick.

@garryc - Regardless of how fresh the wounds were, I find it incredible that so many had essentially conceded the biggest league race in our history in mid-October due to a 1 point gap.

I'm not saying I'm happy with how things are going or how the team has clearly stopped progressing under Lennon but Lawwell won't sack him. Especially not after offering him the job in the showers and all the stuff about not looking at any other CVs. We can't vote with our feet and we can't make our voices heard from the stands this season so we just need to hope things turn around before it's too late.

There has been something very wrong for weeks with no comparison to last season as so many factors and circumstances have changed.
The lockdown came when we were at the crest of a wave of form; then there was the long delay and uncertainty when we could resume, with training methods and preparation restricted and shrouded in ultra-safe precautions, fear and uncertainty.
An extended transfer window added to the question of players futures at the club and the realization that FF was not returning for another season; meanwhile we were rebuilding a defense and having to play qualifiers behind closed doors.

A shambolic two weeks in August saw us wobble at Killie, shockingly exit (yet again) the CL amidst indiscipline and severe punishment over Bolingoli's actions that disrupted our momentum, just as much as two International breaks that resulted in several players being put at risk and declared absent from duty.
After a CL exit 'stewards enquiry' it was disclosed by a beleaguered manager that certain players were unhappy at the club and wanted away - then within 24 hours the statement was retracted amid doubt and concerns of the attitude and commitment required.
The loss of Damien Duff has to be mentioned as I feel it has made a difficult situation even worse and has added to the negativity.

To their credit the team went on to win 7 SPL games running to go 2nd by a point - even though we were still struggling to find our best form and performances and some team selections and substitutions have been continually questioned along the way.
That takes us up to the No-Show on Saturday and the aftershock.
The manager has made blunders and that's no mistake, but there are several players who are not giving 100% and that's even worse!

I'm sure some of the above factors have put us where we are today
The club will not replace NL at this stage of the season; but if the manager and team don't snap out of it right now, I think there will be a few heading for the exit door in the new year.

I’ve kept quiet since the game on Saturday and let the rage subside! Not totally gone but getting there lol. I’ll be brutally honest and say how I felt after the game. lennon for me has lost the players! That was one of the most pathetic showing in a Glasgow derby I’ve witnessed! Forget the players missing and let’s concentrate on the players who were there for a minute! That was gutless clueless and quite frankly embarrassing to watch! Only young welsh and Laxalt can escape criticism! That’s 2 games in a row at home against them, they’ve scored 4 and could have been more, we’ve scored 1 and even that shouldn’t have stood! 90 minutes without a single shot at goal! Let that sink in for a minute, no shots at all at home in a Glasgow derby! Absolutely horrendous! And for those who championed ntcham being this great footballer and should start every week, I would love to know your opinion! Guys an absolute disgrace and wouldn’t wear the Celtic tap again if a had my way! There is massive black cloud hanging over us right now, in the most important season in years, maybe ever! The boli situation, slaughter players and accuse them of wanting to leave,2 days later back track on it, bitton chooses to play with his country behind mangers back and comes back with C.V., leaks in the dressing room! Shambolic is being kind! In my opinion the manager should walk now! But if we don’t get a result on Sunday at Pittodrie then even his biggest supporters have got to say enough is enough!

people are saying how did we get this bad when we were that good last season the thing is we have went back the way when the rangers have progressed, they are getting investment it doesn't matter if they turn it into shares or whatever they are starting to turn their bad time into a much better place and this is showing in the attitude of their team and fans, meanwhile we are all over the place and the only way to sort it is to have the top brass make the tough calls and get rid of anyone that's not fit for the job they're paid to do.

Christ that would lead to a very trimmed squad and staff
Let's hope NL accepts defeat in the 3 5 2 system and cracks on with 4 3 3 instead

Barkas GK
Frimpong RB / El Hamed
Duffy CB
Julien CB
Laxalt LB
Ajer CDM
Cal Mac CM
Christie CM
Griffiths AML
Edouard CF
Forrest AMR

Keep the team playing attacking football and we will blow teams away
Turnbull is worth getting on the pitch for 20 minutes at a time and play domestic cups
Same with Ajeti and young Welsh
This season isn't over, it just simply hasn't started and to be fair we've picked up plenty domestic points that things can turn around easily when the team is fit and available
Looking forward to MJ coming back, People see him as light weight but think he has bags of quality and hopefully he comes back hungrier than ever.
Sell ntcham
Loan polish paddy
Give Taylor domestic Cup games
Nir Bitton can cover at the back and play domestic cup games
Soro to again to get game time or go on loan
Brown to cover Ajer and get the replacement bought in January

I'm not interested one bit in uefa Cup, not this season, the sooner Thursday is out the road the better and let's focus on scalping Aberdeen and growing the confidence.

Kevbhoy, I don’t think that poll is saying Celtic won’t win the league this year, what for me it does is show that a lot of fans have no faith in lennon and his tactics/ selections etc. Lennons biggest problem is himself. He continues to tinker formation tinker selections etc pick players that clearly aren’t cutting it ie ntcham. that guy is an imposter in a jersey, he isn’t even flattering to deceive now, his performances are rotten yet he gets picked ahead of say a turnbull, soro, rogic etc. Another thing that he does himself no favours with is playing guys out of position, and I’m not just talking about Saturday, it’s a regular feature with lennon and fans are sick of it now. That game on Saturday was like putting 11 players together that had never met before, passing all over the place, no structure, nothing and the biggest point for me is that this is now at least the last 3 games against them. that cannot continue mate.

The poll asked do you think we'll win the league and it's still a resounding no tbf Garry.
