Stengo can I ask your opinion on Mikey Johnson mate? I really rate the boy and think he is the most exciting natural talent to come through the academy since Mcgeady. I thought he would be brilliantfor us last season but injury ruined it for him. He was very lightweight and a criticism of him was he needed to strengthena bit, with lock down and plenty time on the sidelines do you think he will come back physically stronger to add to his undoubteded ability and do you think he will fit into a 352 formation which basically means can he play LWB? Cheers.

Hi Markie, I like watching Mikey Johnston as he's exciting, direct and potent. He only does it in flashes though and would doubt he'd last the full 90 mins constantly. I know a few on here don't rate him but I'd like to see what he could offer once he's back from injury. Conditioning work in the gym would definitely strengthen him but I guess he's the type of player who could come on in a 0-0 draw in the 70th minute and run at the defence. Gump, Frimpong and Johnston all running at tired legs could make the difference. I know Chris Sutton thinks there are good things ahead for him and I hope he's right.

I think he is talented no doubt. He is lightweight, was muscled out a lot last year. He has for me a selfish trait which some people say strikers should have, but in my opinion he needs to learn how to look up see a pass and make good opportunities for his teammates and not just try to blast the shot or do everything for himself. He is not a kid anymore so I think he needs to develop this season in order to stand out from the crowd.

Lads he's to greedy does not know when to pass. But the difference he will trying to take players on just outside the box we don't have much of this that's a huge problem as the side to side crab football everytime is predictable.

Agree he's greedy but NL's got him until 2024 to get that sorted. If he had the talent and the ability to look up then chances are he wouldn't be at Parkhead.

Boy has all the talent in the world but does he have the mentality to fulfill his potential? I dunno tbh, big year for him in my opinion. I’d tell him to build his core up, send him on loan until end of season and if he hasn’t improved when he comes back, then it’s time to cut ties and give the next youngster their chance.

All true lads and girl above.
Just he has to want to be one of the best. It's just the problem with the midfield I don't want to keep harpin on about Broony he has served us well. Imo put as assistant manager learn th ropes etc he already know it's time I'm sure.
