Is the story of eddy transfer true? Surely it must be rubbish saying there is a 40% sell on fee for any transfer to PSG. We paid 9m for him in the first place. There is no way PL has agreed to that.

Ed
You any information on this.

{Ed007's Note - As far as I know it was 20% and I really can't see Lawwell agreeing to a deal with it so high. If it is 40% we'd be as well just letting Edouard rundown his contract as a player and with his goals he is worth far more than the circa £10 million profit we'd make from selling him for £40 million.}

Thanks ed. Thought it was very strange myself when l read it. That would mean if we did get 40m for him we would have to give PSG 16m l think. And after paying 8 or 9m before didn't make sense.

{Ed007's Note - Sell on clauses are only applicable on the profit you make, Ter. It would be 40% of £31 million which is just under £12.5 million PSG would be due leaving us circa £18.5 million and when you take off the £9 million we paid for him we'd only have about £9.5 million profit. According to Ed002 btw the fee was registered with FIFA's TMS at the Euros equivalent of £10 million.
Is holding onto Edouard for two years worth losing the £4.75 million per season?}

It is more than 4.75m per season. 40m - 12.5 to PSG - 9 we paid would leave us with a gross profit of 18.5m. Still a tidy sum on the lad but I hope he just signs the extension and stays for 10.

{Ed007's Note - Cheers.}
