What’s people’s views on eddy for next season, more rumours of clubs circling him daily, supposedly the club have named a price . No more news that we are close to agreeing an extension for him . I was really hoping we were going to announce an extension with the new kit deal.

Learned never to take anything for granted, hope for the best - prepare for the worst - over the years as we repeatedly sell a top player every summer. On the plus side, we have still managed to maintain total domestic dominance and bring in some real gems; however, we have slipped from being a CL qualifier to a El team, because we are usually replacing and rebuilding the team while the summer window is open and the early qualifiers are catching us out.
Whatever happens, we need to keep as many top players as possible and add the quality we need in certain areas, for such a unique season.

Resist any offers for just this season it's not a lit to ask. if he continues to progress and injury free we are quids in.

Every player has his price, but Scottish clubs have to stop being the bargain basement, where English and other countries come shopping in the knowledge that they can double or treble or whatever by buying low I Scotland and making a huge profit when they sell on, we have to start putting a realistic price on our best players, we have always sold too cheaply just because, this is Scotland, (and so has every other Scottish club) , we should be start the bidding for any of our players at about twice or three times as much as the figures quoted and if the purchaser wants to buy, they will meet the price.

I'd be surprised if Eddy would entertain a move to some of the teams being mentioned. Tierney and, to an extent, Dembele have shown that you can cut out the middle man and go straight from Celtic to one of the big guns. Teams are starting to realise they can get a cracking player from us for £20/ 30M now rather than £50M from Southampton in a couple of years.

I hope Edouard and Ajer both sign extended contracts for 10 in a row and then both can leave next season with all our blessings plus making the Club Tens of millions.

Trouble is we don't know what's true and what's false. Think I've read unsubstantiated rumours about GK, McGregor, Ajer and Edouard. Not one story has been proven to have any ounce of truth in it. Its usual media campaign to unsettle players and wind fans up.

Rule of thumb any story linking any of our players with Leicester should be filed under "mince". After trying to take whole backroom team during crucial point in season, I doubt very much Lawwell would sanction any business deal with Leicester whilst Brenda is in charge.
