I sometimes despair at the attitude of our fans.
When i first heard of the appointment of Gavin Strachan to our coaching team i believed it a good choice.
What were they expecting, A coach from the EPL or perhaps a manager from another scottish club. Maybe all they wanted was someone who had previously played for the club. Someone from Germany, Spain, France or Italy. All of these would be very unlikely and probably short term.
G Strachan is experience and very good knowledge of the English lower leagues, he can possible bring some new ideas to the coaching set up.
He should be admired for bringing his family to a new country in what is a very difficult time
I personelly would like to welcome him and his family to Scotland and Celtic and wish him all the best.

If he understands and coaches the game, anywhere near as good as WGS, he will do just fine.

Well said Jonace totally agree.

Problem we have with some of our support is they still live in dark ages. When it comes to management/ coaching If someone isn't irish/ have a prior celtic connection/ "celtic minded"/ have an affection for green brigade they are not accepted. I wonder how they feel about Wim Jansen, someone who does not fit that profile yet stopped that mob getting 10iar.

I hope he doesn't go and get any advise from Gordon, who is so full of modern coaching methods and modern systems and modern football tactics, he would put Ronnie, praise him, praise him, to shame, I hope Gavin is his own man, and doesn't take any advise from his father, well about football anyway, everything else is ok, I hope you do well Gavin.

Hahaha Gordon will offer amazing advice to his son and his contacts and knowledge probly helped his son choosing his carear its also obvious he looks up to his dad as he would be know where near football as a career choice.

The only thing I did not like a about wee strac was his sneering and trying to be smarmy with media but I get that now as the media anty Celtic brigade could not handle it with him as he was having none of it. So if he's as gd as they say he is having a dad like Strachan would be an asset and a gd leaning board if needing advice.
