I'm surprised Lenny came out saying he'd be happy to go with the squad we have for next season. It's looking more increasing that he will play a 352 or a 433/ 4231. To play a 352 you need 5 decent cbs. Looking at it now we could go with elhamed Jullien ajer with only bitton as cover. So we definetly need 1 or 2 quality cbs.

Apart from cb the only other position I think we need cover are on the wings. If we can get elyonoussi back on loan that would sort the left wing. Not sure what lennys thoughts are on the right. Will he try mix between Forrest and frimpong when playing a 352.Will shved be involved?

We don't need much maybe just 3 bodies and hold on to what we have.

Gk- sign forster
Rb - potentially another bauer type loan signing and fingers crossed elhamed stays fit.
Lb - sorted
Cbs- sign 1 or 2
Right wing -?
Left wing - elyounosi on loan
Centre mid- sorted if ntcham stays
Cf- sorted of eddy stays.

Ideally for me :- Forster and Elyounoussi on loan deals. (move C. Gordon on)
Meling At left back. His contract is up in December. (possibly move Boli on)
I’m a big Ajar fan, but if he want to go, replace him with 2 CBs ( preferably left footers)
Paddy Roberts to sign or another loan deal.
Move Bayo on and replace him.
I agree we need 5 CBs and we need 4 reliable centre forwards if we are to continue playing a 3-5-2 system. Griffiths, Bayo and Klimala are not reliable at the moment.
Griffiths staying fit will be crucial but I feel we need to replace Bayo and hope that Klimala is better than his first impressions.

Might just be paper talk but Southamptom look to be playing hard-ball over Forster. What should be the limit Celtic should go to make sure they get him? Who are the alternatives? I've always liked Benjamin Leroy of Ajaccio.

Need at least one centre back in, maybe 2 if ajer goes. move bolongoli on and bring a left back In to fight with Taylor. one of the priorities is left wing. if we can’t get Elyounoussi back then someone in there. covered in centre and in the number 10 with rogic and Christie, although any decent offer for rogic I’d take. some completion for forest wouldn’t do any harm either. it bayo goes another striker. priorities are left wing centre half and another keeper if Fraser isn’t coming back.3-4 quality signings and we’ll be ready for 10!

every year we have reta hopes of market signings with big money invlved and ususally we accept that we have to be realistic given the financial power of Scottish football in general and of Celtic in particular. So this year in the face of corona that is obviously more apparent. If we can keep last years squad = no ins but NO OUTS I think that will be an excellent achievement.

IF Lenny truly believes that he can go with the squad we have then HE should walk now Bearings in mind our first team goalkeeper will be away our left side midfield player will be away and no cover We definitely need to bring in new players no doubt about it one of the most important if not the most important season of the club's history and we don't need to add aye right. But we will add I am sure and we will yet again make history.

Tony2bhoy, I think you can take it when N Lennon says he is happy with the squad he has, he means the squad he had in season 2019- 2020 Including loan players .
I too would be happy with that plus a couple of additions ( that he has mentioned) here and there .

I know the media have all sorts of disasters befalling our ist team squad, but we all know that’s how the Scottish media gets its kicks. This is nothing new as I can remember reading Scottish papers over 60 yrs ago and they were the same then .
Probably in another 10-15 yrs Celtic fans will wise up and ignore them.

I agree with you. We need a new LB because I think it’s our weakest position.
Greg Taylor is still only 22 years old and he could come good with Celtic coaching.

Taylors weakness is he's got zero pace to beat a man so he doesn't offer much overlap on the left most of his play ends up short sideways or backwards passes. Agree 2 x CB needed. GK, LW, and LB and RB cover. Always liked Arber Zaneli very similar to Paddy Roberts but a LW.

What do you mean we don't have a left back? We've got bolingoli and Taylor. Don't see why so many people hate bolingoli, the fella is class and will prove the doubters wrong this season.
I think cbs and wingers are the only areas we are weak. I don't think lb is a priority for the coming season.

Its all opinions but personally think Bolingoli is a terrible LB. No positional sense, headless chicken. One of his first games for us he overlapped Forrest on the RW. that's how far he was out of position. Lennon obviously doesn't fancy him. He played Johnny Hayes before him.
