Who's the best

Van Dijk, Dembelle or the best French feet since Zizou big Eddy. Think you know what I think. The bhoys just starting in his career Van Dijk's exceptional no doubt. Dembelle I remember watching him as a 20 year-old batter Man City in a Glasgow Monsoon bit like the weather at the moment best game I've been to since the Barcelona night. But I can't remember anyone at Celtic in 30 years in Paradise with the vision and feet of Ed.

Big virg is the best cb in the world. Eddy is class but will never be best cf in world. No doubt he will end up at a PSG, Bayern or Barcelona but virg for me.

Love eddy and he’s on fire rite now! Different players altogether but eddy still has a way to go before he reaches VVD level! The big Man just oozes class and is by some distance the best player in his position in world football. but let’s hope eddy reaches those levels and we enjoy more of his class in the hoops! Also I could name half a dozen off the top of my head in the last 30 years with the touch and vision! lol! Without even going into the obvious ones like lubo henrik and naka.

VVD was and is a different class in my opinion. Eddy and the moose will have outstanding careers no doubt but inbelieve VVD can go on to be remembered as one of the best of all time.

I don't know guys, we knew VVD was going to be top class but not that he would be the best CB on earth. Eddy could reach that level in time if it all goes well, hopefully we get 100m for him when he goes, after winning the EL in seville next year haha.

I don't know how you can judge VVD as the best defender in the world, sounds like something that someone would say that's blinded by his transfer fees and by the goals he scores, ignoring the fact he is playing in a very good Liverpool team, he is good, but if he is the best in the world then the standard s have dropped alot, as for who is the best between Moussa and Eddy, meaningless comparison, completely different kinds of players, I would have Moussa in my team, if it was a choice between the two of them, but they are both brilliant and France will have some team if they ever play full internationals together.

VVD is in no doubt the best centre half in the world. Koulibally was close for awhile but now he's not even remotely close.

Yip I’m agreeing with u mate. eddy is a phenomenal talent and I hope he goes on to be one of the worlds top strikers. but for me VVD is a superstar and genuine elite level footballer! Absolutely no coincidence that Liverpool are enjoying there most successful period in 30 odd years since Virgil came in! And aindoh how has the standard slipped if he’s the worlds best defender! Have u checked Liverpool’s goals against stats this season alone? I’d put VVD up against any centre half u care to mention and feel confident he would be the better player!

Potential - Edouard for me all day long. Just remember something that's not often said, someone at Parkhead is seeing the potential these players have and making sure Celtic doesn't miss out on them. There's definitely something right happening behind the scenes at PH.

VVD for me every day. Eddy is good. He has loads of skill and vision but I still think he has gaps in his game. For his size and height if he could head a ball, and was half as good as Larson in this area he would be worth twice the amounts touted. Also he isn't 19 anymore he is 21. Sorry not trying to be dismissive as he is a huge talent and I do believe he will go on to great things but I remember watching the first few games VVD played and telling my pal that this guy was a way better player than wanyamma and would go onto a top team for a fortune. Think big vic was more established at that time and my mate laughed and told me I was bonkers!

First point is I remember being on here when VVD used to play for us and some fans would be slagging him from time to time.

Anyway, I was not one of them and I always used to thing he was a magnificent football player and I recall saying at the time that he was capable of going on and playing for one of the top clubs in Europe and that Barcelona would be suited to his style of playing.

With regards to the question I believe VVD is the best of those 3 based on comparing them to other top players in their position. VVD is the only one who would make top 10 in his position. That being said both Dembele and Edouard are top players and with some luck and getting chance to go to a stronger league they may one day get to a similar level but it is conjecture at the moment.
