Anyone who takes any notice of my posts, they will know 99% of the time I back NL in most counts.
But his reaction to MJ limping off the park with minutes to go with the game won was imo was out of order.
Yes maybe MJ could have came off earlier but in any place of work to be spoken to in that manner by the boss lacks a touch of class.

Not for me. He was quite rightly raging because johnstone put himself before the team.

It could have been described as out of order if he stood and shouted at MJ in front of an audience but he didn’t. Lennon was specifically asking MJ about his injury and Johnstone blatantly turned his back on his manager. With his team winning comfortably MJ decided to play on and now he will be out injured long term. Silly boy. I was raging with MJ and I was only watching on the tele.

He looked like a wee scruffy bully JJ. His demeanor is lazy and disinterested with random outbursts.

I totally agree JJ, we have heard various rumours/ stories of the way he has treated some of the young boys and for me his reaction tells me that he has not changed one bit.
He Was well out of order, the game was over and there was only about 2 mins to go.

Definitely Kev. Lennon isn't everyone's cup of tea but I completely understand why he was p***ed off.

Disagree here tbh. MJ let them team down by saying he was fit to continue when he clearly wasn't. He should have thought of the team rather than himself and went off when Lennon asked if he was fit to continue.

Would people still think it was out of order if it was 0-0 and he goes down as the opposition break and score a goal?

The Physio and medical team should have had him off the park.

Who hasn't tried to run something off that's severe? dislocated? pop it in. Falling off? tape it on. That's where Lennon/ the physio should take ownership and make the call.

Gd opinions troops. I own a small business. I would never speak to any of my employees like that.
To say MJ let the team down with a few minutes to go doesn't wash with me.
The boy wanted to play on. could have and probably did make it worse.
Maybe the physio and manager should have made the decision for him.

My only gripe would be that we have just signed Klimala to play up front and in last 2 games he has picked MJ ahead of him which I don't really get as he isn't a striker, I like NL but some of his decisions at times baffle me really. His comments regarding transfers for instance are all over the place, I mean is he trying to fool the support that he is in charge there.

Both were in the wrong; NL for how he reacted this is no longer acceptable behaviour in the workplace and MJ for staying on when he was injured.
With MJ he is young and may learn from his mistakes and if he is out for some time he may not get back into the tean this season. He must use this time to build up his strength and work on his character becoming more humble and less selfish.
NL on the other hand should look deeply into the mirror today and decide how he intends to manage.

Mally, that wasn't industrial language. That was the Celtic manager telling a young injured player where to go.
As I said I back NL more than most on here. but for me that's not the way I want a Celtic manager reacting to an academy player who now has a long term injury.

I would be more concerned if NL wasn't anhry! By the look on his face MJ knew straight away it was a bad one. he should've came clean to avoid any further damage. Imagine the reaction if we were drawing or getting beat, MJ was just being selfish.

C'mon al bet you mj uses worse language it's a tough sport anybody who's played at any level will tell you that's what goes on.

Mally it's not the swearing that's the issue. He crossed the line with a young boy.
Do you think he would have told a senior player to do one.
I think not.

some missing the point its not only last few minutes of last nights game he missed the boys now out for what looks like long term and done more damage to his knee while trying to play through, he was asked countless times if he was ok to continue.

jungle john you could argue that an employee wouldn't turn your back on there boss present you didn't hear him for almost a minute then turn and tell a lie.

Imagine Stein or TB behaving like that. Not the way a Celtic manager should conduct himself. Embarrassing.
