I have been surprised that we haven't been linked to any centre backs of late. I know that doesn't mean we are not looking but usually there's a couple of rumours going around when we are looking to strengthen in certain areas. I just read there that Brendan Rodgers stated that Benkovic won't be going on loan until he has a replacement. I was thinking that we might have a verbal agreement of sorts in place for when this happens. We can not rely on big Joso's fitness.

You can't talk about Benkovic on here or a certain someone will disagree like he does everytime someone mentions him.

Rodgers comments in the press on Benkovic seems like he’s calling us out to loan him. Robin Knoche is another name being thrown about.

Benkovic is a good player but he would have to make sure his injuries don't coincide with jozos as I don't think we can afford to have both on the treatment table at the same time.

We need another CH whether it's Benkovic or another as long as they are good enough. I don't think any of our academy are quite ready yet. Here's hoping we can bolster the CH position before the window closes.

What's even funnier is you don't have an answer to my and several other site users, like wyllie above, genuine points that benkovic is a very injury prone player and what would the point being having him and jozo sitting in the stand leaving us with just jullian and ajer again?
