Has anyone got some Genuine information on Klimala that might be of interest? Is he a player that has been tipped for good things and is there any potential there? There must be something about him if we are spending €4m on him? ED have u got anything on this guy?

To us supporters he’s a bit of an unknown but certainly he’s being talked up in his homeland. Zurawski has said he’s the hottest young talent in the country. I’m not saying that means anything but we just have to see what this guy can do when he steps out onto the field. A lot of fans are saying they are underwhelmed by The lad but let’s wait and see he may be an absolute gem. Time will tell. I for one am willing to give him a chance.

{Ed007's Note - A lot of fans were underwhelmed by Dembele and Edouard, Frimpong was "another Man City project", Jullien wasn't good enough and wasn't a Lennon signing etc etc
I sometimes wonder what some fans expect, it's not as if we're going to be in for top-end players from England or France where mediocre players go for millions (Harry Maguire for £80 million - more than VVD - and I honestly wouldn't swap Ajer for him) so we need to look at the level below that.
There's been plenty of signings I wasn't keen on for one reason or another - some I've made an ar$e of it and there's some I've been spot on about - but I always give them a chance and see what they can do once they're settled etc. and Klimala deserves the chance to show what he can do.
I'm just hoping Hammond has had input on the transfer targets and we're trusting someone apart from Lawwell on players ability/potential.
I still think we need to have a serious look and possible overhaul of the scouting system but that can take time and again hopefully Hammond can get that sorted out.}

Surely any half decent striker, that's fully fit will contribute more that bayo or griff, because tbh they have been terrible.
It's the "10 iar" game we are playing. Some fans are panicking and think household names are the answer.
Maybe just a young guy coming in, with no fear, just like frimpong could be a shot in the arm we need.
Time will tell but give the guy a chance.
Every signing is a gamble.

Lennon was waxing lyrical about Hammond at the AGM Ed so hopefully that's a positive sign that he's having the biggest input on scouting matters.
