I am on a few facebook pages and I cannot believe the number of Celtic supporters who are tearing in to Rod Stewart for who he voted for.
What happened to our open to everyone attitude?
Personally, I find it very disappointing.

About time a **** Rod Stewart banner is unfurled at an upcoming game ðŸ‘preferably an image of him with his Rangers top on while going down on Boris Johnston. 🤣 He's one of the hangers on that jumped ahead of me when Cup Final tickets were handed out. Never seen him at the Dunfermline or Partick Thistle games.

He was a right wing Thatcher lover back in the day who is now a "dear friend" of Trump, who has tugged the forelock to the Royals on numerous occasions and breached the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel to play there.
Rod the Fraud - who grew up an Arsenal fan and has admitted to having pictures of Jim Baxter on his walls before becoming a Man Utd supporter and who couldn't have shown you Celtic Park on a map until he mentioned them in a song and realised he had a money-spinner off of gullible Celtic supporters - has made a Hell of a lot more money & gained more popularity out of associating himself with Celtic than Celtic have ever made out of him.
Remember the Lisbon 50th Anniversary celebrations that he took part in? To this day that has never been released on DVD because Rod Stewart stopped the Club releasing it unless he got a hefty share of the money - financially it wasn't worth it for the Club after Rod got his cut.
Has any of the posters on here - the REAL Celtic support - EVER worn a Rangers or TRIFC top?

Lol. but over these past few years he’s become a rite pain in the hole! I get the impression he thinks it’s rod Stewart show whenever he turns up at our games! He could be seriously doing with pissing off and after his Boris Johnston rubbish I think he’ll get hounded at any games he shows his face at!
{Ed007's Note - We all like(d) songs because of our parents, Danny and most of us still listen to them. I still love the 60s stuff and "good" music from having to listen to it on long distance lorry runs with my dad. In my age group - the 21/25 demographic lol - there's plenty of songs you happily bopped along to at school discos in the 80s that you'd cringe at admitting to it these days. Some of the vinyl I've got is shocking!

Used to like Stewart, but everything edd Just says about him I do not like and has changed my opinion on him. Didn't know all this about him as I’m not a follower of him and the more I think about it he has used the song grace in to his favor over Celtic and Irish people who actually cares for the meaning of the song and lyrics. he actually ruined it lol didn’t think he had a good voice, wolftones a lot better. But, Rods a multi millionaire, surely an implied threat of a ban from Parkhead and all the accompanying bad publicity, would mean more to him than the loss of a few (hundreds of) thousands of pounds in royalties, and as for him congratulating Boris, I voted labour in the election, but that was only because of my local candidates, if it was a choice between Corbynn and Johnstone, I would have voted for Johnstone, I can understand why all those old labour constituencies in the Midlands and the north of England, voted Tory.
