Oh what a night - feeling Happy.
Great to us play a style of football that is respectful of the opposition but showing no fear about getting a result.

Great night OF FOOTBALL now do we ease back with the other two games and focus on the league or do we lay a marker down and win the Europa league group (not sure if that gives us an advantage in the draw) ?

{Ed007's Note - If we win the group we'll play a team that finished 2nd in theirs. Us, Basel, Man Utd and Espanyol (the TRIFC of Spain) have all qualified but seedings have still to be determined I think. Sevilla have went through and are seeded for the next round.}

If there is a clear advantage then I think we should go for it as it can only ease our passage to progression - although if we keep playing like we have been then there are few teams in this tournament that we feel we can't handle with optimism.

You never ventured an opinion Ed.

{Ed007's Note - Any European football after Christmas is a bonus for me but the league & cups are our bread and butter so we should prioritise them imo - BUT we have one of the strongest and most well rounded squads we've had for years (apart from maybe striker although LG is due back) so we should realistically be able to target both.}

I'd love to win the group to be honest. Shows we are starting to cement ourselves as a team that makes the later stages of the Europa. We should be looking to have a right go at winning it in 2 or 3 years.

The 12 Europa group winners and the best 4 third placed champions league teams will be seeded. The 12 Europa runners up and the 4 other champions league teams who drop down to the Europa will be unseeded.
A club can’t play another club from the same country in the last 32 but can from the last 16 onwards.
