Celtic have been hit with another fine from UEFA for the use of pyro and flares in a recent match. I have no idea what or how the green brigade think this helps Celtic. All it does it cost the club money with stupid fines.
All they are doing is hurting the club that they are suppose to love. U can only warn people so many times. Celtic have released a statement and are right if they close the standing area and ban them. Personally l would make them pay the fine too. Enough is enough. Celtic is for all the fans not just a few.

Can we get a moan at the green brigade page ed so we can talk football here 🙈.

{Ed007's Note - Or a page where we can moan about the fines the Club and their stewards have brought on us also costing the Club money. Where's there statement about the multiple fines for blocked stairways etc, aren't blocked stairways a lot more dangerous than a bit of smoke? Not to mention the fines for the team's behaviour against Fenerbache and against Linfield, did the idiot that ran on the park against PSG or Ac Milan come from the GB section?
There's plenty of fines in there that have nothing to do with the GB mate and plenty at away games that you have no way of blaming the GB for so best just let the panty-wetters sit there and blubber all they want.
From what I can see there's never been any club punished for flares etc by having stadium closures or part closures, UEFA take racism a lot more serious hence the paltry fines compared to the punishments of the likes of TRIFC & Lazio.
And if people think that this is some big major issue at UEFA just have a look through HERE to see how common these small fines for small offences actually are across the board.}

The bottom line is pyrotechnics are are banned by UEFA therefore nobody should be bringing them into the stadium. No matter if you think they look good or are not dangerous they are against the rules and trying to justify people using them is just stupid.

{Ed007's Note - It's also illegal to smoke in footballing stadiums or enter a stadium while under the influence of alcohol, should we be breathalysing everyone going into the stadium and if you're over the 'legal limit' you don't get in?
Should supporters be running to stewards to grass about people smoking in the toilet or the two wee old guys that sit and share a hipflask during the game for a few halves?
We are sponsored by betting and alcohol companies - two of the biggest problems in our society - and it's constantly rammed down our throats, moaning about a couple of smoke bombs is beyond stupid in comparison.
So should we enforce ALL rules or just the ones you want? I know that I'd rather sit next to a guy with a smokebomb than sit and listen to some stupid drunk (a law and Club rule breaker) sleverring in my ear all game.}

I don't imagine that fans go to a match with the deliberate intention of blocking gangways or even running on the pitch.
The difference with the flares is that the club have specifically asked them not to do it yet some of them deliberately bring them to the ground knowing that it will land the club in trouble.
I don't know if these flares are dangerous or not, that's not the issue for me, the thing I can't understand is that when the club repeatedly asks fans not to do something as they are continually being fined, how do they think it is supporting the club by deliberately ignoring these pleas and causing more fines.

And are the club being constantly fined for people smoking in the toilets or entering the stadium under the influence? It’s a pointless argument. Pyrotechnics are against the rules so stop using them. Whether people agree with it or not doesn’t matter.

{Ed007's Note - It's not pointless because it's still against the law and the rules. So you're happier with people breaking the law of the land AND the Clubs own rules than UEFA's rules because they cost us a couple of grand?
What about all the other fines we've received from UEFA, have we just to ignore them to blame everything on the standing section? Have you been onto the Club about the amount of charges for blocked stairways or the charges about the team's behaviour?
Just because something's in the rules doesn't mean people need to follow them, did you agree that LG should have been banned for tying a scarf at Linfield, and remember, it's against the rules? T
here's thousands more people break the law & rules inside the stadium every game than 2 or 3 guys with smokebombs but you're right that it doesn't matter because happily the flares are here to stay 👍 just like idiot drunk fans and panty-wetters.
If you feel so strongly why not get a job as a steward?}

I was halfway through a reply and gave up 🙈.

{Ed007's Note - I was going to set up a poll asking if the supporters who invaded the pitch against AC Milan and PSG were:

A. Stone cold sober.
B. Pished out their mind idiots.
C. Probably the Green Brigade.

Seeing that people entering the stadium under the influence have never caused us to be fined I think C would have won.}

I’m pretty sure the cost of any fines will be in the bank thanks to the many 125yr tifo pictures the club sell or the just can’t get enough t shirts and so on.

Ed you're not telling me everyone who drinks is an idiot are u? 😂 me n u are done ya sober idiot.

{Ed007's Note - When you're stone cold sober you don't want some drunk guy yapping in your ear, that's not just at football btw.}

Love what the GB brings to our great club, but in my opinion they need to get a grip regarding the pyro's. UEFA will end up taking us to town if we continue. God forbid anyone ends up getting hurt.

{Ed007's Note - Who have UEFA ever took to town over pyro?}

You clearly condone the actions of the GB regarding pyro's ED, that's your choice mate. Clearly UEFA haven't taken anyone to town over pyro's as yet, as I'm sure you'd already know. However, if we continue, it just might be us ED.

{Ed007's Note - They won't so you can stop worrying.}
