I hate the thought of losing our best players but I really think we need to be searching for Eduoard's replacement right now. If Eddie continues to progress like he is I reckon some of Europe's top clubs will come calling and I believe we will get more money for him than we got for KT. I don't know if Afolabi was brought in to develop as Eddies replacement or if Nicky Hammond is currently scouting European markets for a young striker but I feel now is the time to get it done because Eduoard is a top top player.

Posted not long ago wondering how long we'd be able to keep a hold of Édouard, as I said then, I hope it's a while yet.

Lets just enjoy the bhoy while we have him, PL and NL will know what they have . Would not surprise me one bit to see him get a bumper new deal with the acceptance that we look at offers at the end of next season . Just my opinion.

It's like being stuck between a rock and a hard place, do we keep our best players or do we sell them for £20+ millon😉.

{Ed007's Note - We're not really stuck anywhere, Malky. There comes a time when, for whatever reason, our top players will move on or at least fancy it. Nobody is getting forced out the door and nobody is being forced to stay, 99% of transfers are mutually agreed a la KT.}

Just watching Afolabi come on as a sub for Ireland u21's he is a striker, hustle and bustle in and around the box, he going to do good things for Celtic.

Nice positive post he's a Celtic player enjoy till he's not a Celtic player there's no point worrying till it happens and id imagine lenny would be on the case.

I thought that was the point of having a signed contractural agreement between a player and a club, the player can't be forced out before the end of his contract, and the player can't force his way out of the club before the end of his contract, but they don't seem to be worth the paper they are written on, judging by the amount of players who become "unhappy with the contract they signed, or unhappy with the club, that they signed the contract with, and force their way out of the club by various methods ", what is the point of having a contract?, if no-one pays it any credence, when push comes to a shove.

So when we do lose them we get compensation to replace.
