I am sure there are a number of people who will jump to the defence of NL after his latest press conference. He basicaly blamed the players and his claims that we were the better team who had lots of chances and lost freakish goals.
This was not my reading of the game, he was quoted before the first game that Cluj put in a lot of crosses and he should have planned and train for that. Playing either Julien {in a back 5} or Bitton {in midfield} would have been adequate tactics.
I wonder how many "supporters NL will have should he lose to Aik and again on the 1st of september.
I did not beleive NL was good enough before his appointment and do not believe so now
Celtic will have a new manager before the second game at castle greyscull.

Board is to blame for not only appointing NL but also having policy club is a business before success. They have contradicted that policy as we have lost potential CL money by appointing NL.

I'm beginning to think they are quietly trying to sell club by showing it's profitable and has future growth potential through hotel.

I hope this is the case as we need ownership that will stop cutting corners and realise that playing against top teams in Europe, is what we should be doing.

Philtim

The only thing that the board are to blame for is appointing Lennon, they have backed him.
If he wasn't so clueless we would be playing this Tue instead of thur.

Lenny was at fault but come on the players he played should have been good enough it wasn't the manager that gave away a daft pen or didn't stop crosses or couldn't defend or make simple saves.

One of the biggest faults for me is the signings and scouting policy. for a wee while now with the odd exception we’ve been bringing in players that quite frankly aren’t good enough.
de vries, gamboa, hendry, compper, benyu, kouassi, Allan, Hayes and I’m sure there’s more I can’t think of off the top of my head. like ED has said for long enough now, we need a director of football in place permanently and upgrading the scouting network. There’s been far too much money wasted in recent years on mediocre players wether it be on fees or just wages, getting decent contracts on good money and contributing f**k all to the cause. That needs addressed pronto.

Jonbhoy,

I disagree, the board are at fault for a lot of things including transfer policy.
