Have just read an article published by the Celtic underground titled, The common denominator. In short it contains the amount of money Lawwell takes from Celtic F.C. In year 2006/7 his salary was under 400,000. Last year he receive and just take a moment to let this sink in, 3.45 million, mind boggling for a c.e.o. whose remit was to win a one horse race over the last 7/8 years.

if we think back, the only team to even try to make a fight of it was annual bottlers Aberdeen. why on earth his salary wasn't based on some sort of progress in Europe only Dermott knows, but you have to believe he was happy with things as they where.

Looking back to Cluj, it was not so much the result that hurt so much as the manner of the defeat which showed up massive failures from those we put our trust in to run the team to the best of their ability, sadly the only well run team we can look forward to is team Lawwell.

You do realise he has built us in to a business with a 100 million turn over and his wages reflect that eh?

His wage is comparable to and CEO of that size of business.

I read this early today and tried to post but nothing went up no doubt as unacceptable. Anyway the jist of the article to me anyway makes Lawwell utterly unacceptable as a CEO, I do not care about a hotel or disco lights I want a decent team. I do not want to constantly live on our luarals and hope what we have is good enough to win the spl. Lennon is not the answer and neither is upper management. There needs to be a fundamental change within they way the club is run. I hate these windows as keep hearing who celtic are interested in but in the most we never get them. It is starting to remind me of the days of the Kelly's without the impending bankruptcy.

How does it make him unacceptable as a CEO?
He's a CEO that has built a 100 million pound turn over and has the share price at the highest it's every been while the team is the most successful it's been in my life time.
Of course he has a multi million wage.

Us supporters don’t give a rats ass about £100m turnover or share prices. We care about the quality of team on the park. If you’d rather sit and look at a healthy balance sheet rather than a quality product on the park then good for you.

That's not the point Ice man. Any CEO coming in will be paid the same.
That's the going rate.

Also like I said above but you seem to have ignored to have your pop.
This is the most successful period for Celtic I and most on this sight has ever seen with Celtic.

Maybe we should go the way Barcelona's run and hold elections for the top job although that's probably just as corrupt.

In my opinion Pedro is guilty of sleeping at his post the last couple of seasons. Yes, fantastic buisness man, but never seems to speculate to accumulate. As I said a few day's ago, we always seem to be last out the block when it comes to strengthening our playing pool, and pedro always seems to take a chance with these early qualifying games, and clearly has never learned lessons. We obviously have a problem at recruitment level, and clearly have to address this situation. We still have time to add to our squad, but the loss of 30 big ones will certainly sting.
