PL had nothing to do with the game it was Neil Lennons team selection and tactics, that cost the game, no point in blaming Peter Lawell .

Cluj only had 3.5 co-efficient points and were placed 288 th in europe, which is worse than Motherwell and Inverness CT.
If Cluj were 2 places ahead of Celtic, they wouldn't have been the unseeded team.

The squad did need trimming of all the deadwood and there's still a few we wouldn't miss if gone too but to lose so many players and pocket the money we have the past few seasons this of all seasons was the year to put our foot down and build a squad to dominate for years to come. So far that hasn't happened and the fans are right to be disappointed. The Lennon appointment showed how ambitious the board was going to be. They need to pull something out the bag before the window closes. We are a decent LB, RB, CDM, ST away from that. The money is there just pay the money and get the players in already. Do they want to leave it to the point CL windfall is out of our hands and potentially in Sevcos? The first few rounds of CL qualifying is easy money and probably more than we would earn being stuck in EL.

Thats what I thought leon, way below us so in those terms we shouldve smoked them but our coefficient was based on other managers efforts not lennys, so its kind of irrelevant. Whoever makes up the coefficient points didn't account for our lack of ambition.
