I assume KT is away then? If it was his decision in our 9 in a row season with the potential for a historic 10 while understandable both from a football and financial perspective it also places him in the same bracket as Rodgers in that it would make the previous 'Celtic Man' rhetoric laughable. No 'Celtic Man' would go at 22 years of age with history in the making.

The only real 'Celtic men' and women at Parkhead are those paying £500 plus every year to watch us not players who £25,000 a week isn't enough to play for us.

I wish the lad no ill will but it's Kieran who? for me. Good bit of business on Celtic's part though if it's £25m for a player with a major injury question mark we played half of last season without and I for one only want players who want to play for Celtic. All the best son but like Rodgers before you you've forfeited your potential legend status.

Well said, got to agree with that, no player is bigger than the club and I've said before on here, if there's a hint of a player going, get rid, i. e. TH and John Collins!

sorry JFP,
KT is not dumping us half-way through the season with a very important run-in to complete like BR did.
The bhoy is ambitious and has the opportunity to get new challenges and possibly even move on to bigger things.
Celtic have to play 4 fecking qualifying ties for CL while 4 fecking English teams don't.
That pretty much sums up our standing with Europe (like Benfica, Ajax etc. ) in the hard light of day.
Bear in mind that he has not played for us for quite a while but we still managed the Treble Treble.
So, while sorry to see him leave, I see it as a good bit of business for Celtic and KT and we move on.

It is a big blow to lose such a talent and like our previous manager it was something I, personally never saw coming so soon.
However, the days of one-club Celtic men are dwindling fast and the amount of testimonials staged these days are proof of that.
The realization for me in the seventies that we were a selling-club and players actually wanted to leave us was hard to take, but these days it's a case of appreciate special talent while you can and enjoy them at the time, because managers and players come and go but Celtic FC and the support (as you say) are for life.
Fortunately unlike other clubs, we have a very long and distinguished history of producing and welcoming some great players - some of which become legends - and that will continue.

I am gutted that KT has wished to leave us, but he is not a Brendan Rodgers. KT has came through the Celtic system and managed to become Scotlands young player of the year 3 seasons in a row, which is the first time this has ever been achieved. He will go down as a Celtic great and the best left back I have witnessed in my 40 years of watching the hoops.
At the end of the day he is still one of us and I am sure he will continue to do us all proud down south.

We've survived without him since Xmas last year so life gies on i live the bhoys bones but he's not bigger than this club and better players than him have left it's good business as long as we use the money over to you Pedro.

I, like the rest of the guys and Girls on here am shocked KT has decided to leave when we’re on the cusp of history! And spare me he was forced out garbage eh, he’s wanted to go!

Wouldn’t put the boy in the rodgers category but, he was a rat pure and simple! But I think it proves that real Celtic man tag doesn’t exist anymore in football. he's left at 22 years old on the cusp of 9 and 10,and real Celtic men do not and never would do that! Forget this EPL more money and chance to become the worlds best left back stuff, that could have been sorted after 9 and 10 IMO!

But I wish the wee Guy nothing but the best and the club gets a great deal! The only problem I see now is we’re weaker now without him and Sinclair on that left if your replacing them with boli and Morgan! Money needs spent ASAP on that side of the pitch!

What if KT had no desire to leave but PL has told him £25m benefits the club more than having him on board for another 2-3 years? None of us know the facts behind the scenes and what has been said or done.

Lh86 or he could have had his career ended this season. You've got to take your chance when it comes because it might never come again.

If KT had no desire to leave he wouldn’t be in London right now! If he really wanted to stay and made that clear then lawell could do hee haw about it!
