Does anybody else think that Edouard is better suited playing out on the left? He likes to run at his opponents, and has good feet to get past them, where as if he’s playing as the main striker, he’s more or less got his back to goal and finds it harder to do what he does best. Plus he’s not an out and out goal scorer, and with him on the left I think he could create a lot of chances for Griffiths, or whoever it is playing up top. Just thought I’d see what everybody else thought 🍀.

Ed playing off another striker and building that telepathy needs to happen imo. Lone striker does not suit him. Those runs on the left with a partner to feed or to distract defences are best way to see what he can do. For me he really has to have run with a partner.

I completely agree, but unfortunately we’ve only had 1 or 2 strikers available for the last year, so it hasn’t really been an option. If we bring in another striker AND Bayo, Griff and Edouard stay fit then I can see that Edouard playing out left and a winger or 2 being moved on.

Some of his best performances came in the qualifiers last season where he played off Dembele. A target man doing all the donkey work really allows him to shine.

I don't think he's better out left but he is a player that needs a licence to float about. Better as a number 2 striker.

I think he should be played wide running at defenders we all know he can skip past players with his power and pace, but when he has his back to the defense and coming short for passes doesn’t suit him. Either we go 2 up top with Ed and griff, or play Eddy wide and griffiths up front atleast He makes runs behind defenders.

I definitely agree with Kev far more as a second striker dropping deep at times and running at defence is what he is really good at 👌.

I'd like to see us play a front 3 of eddy, griffiths and forrest/ sinclair in a similar way Liverpool play their front 3.
