Just a question troops.
If we go with the squad as it is, no one leaves or comes in, how far to we go in Europe and how many trophies do we win?

At present I don't think we have the ideal scenario that managers prefer - two quality players for every position.
I think NL really wanted Turnbull and another RB for example.
However, we are not far off it and if we can avoid the horrendous injury situation as last season we could do very well once again.

Europe I think we’ll struggle going into the last CL qualifier If I’m being honest. at home we’re still light in parts of the team but will be enough to win the league and possibly a cup! As much as people are saying the Isreali boy is RB, that’s still a major concern for me! Also another striker for me is a must!

Not sure if we will make the champions league with that squad, depends on who we draw. (As long as we take care of Cluj or Maccabi ) . I know it’s early but the players seem a little less jaded than they did last season under Brendan. However we may get tired once the season gets underway, so will need a big squad.
Also think we will win the league but I’d say a lot of it depends on the league cup, that takes on greater importance now because whoever wins it, I feel it gives the team an impetus with the league . Imagine if the huns win that early in the season, the press will be lapping it up, and give them belief that they can push on against us.

I think Celtic will win the double this season.
I am not over confident about the league cup because with europe and the league a priority, Lenny will play weakened sides in the league cup. If we get past the pars, the big draw will be the quarters. Get a decent draw in the quarters and if we get to the semi finals, then I would expect us to win it.
Forget about not being confident. If we get past the quarters, then Celtic will win the quadruple treble.
In Scotland the core of our team at the moment are unstoppable and don't know how to lose the big games and the players will want to continue our unbeaten cup run.
Europe will depend on how the draw works out.

Ryan I was talking about the 10 days or so they had off. After playing 60 odd games last season plus training the team looked dead on their feet at the end of the season or did you not see that? They all came back still quite match fit as they had such a short break but at some point they are going to start feeling the lack of break . I appreciate they are professional footballers but they will be up against other professionals who have had more rest and possibly less games.

Of course I seen that mate. Loads of injuryand playing a high intensity pressing game causes that tiredness at end of season. But no way should our players be tired once the season gets underway.
