So Ntcham definitely wants away and says he is disappointed he didn't get his move to Portugal last summer, also slating the level of football in Scotland. What a wee d**k ok so if you think that you keep it to yourself, you are supposed to be a professional. The sooner we offload this guy the better.

I'm sure we will have spoken to his agent and told him he can leave if he finds a club willing to meet our valuation.

But agreed he should know that he should not be speaking to the press and I'm sure a fine will he heading his way shortly for doing so.

He's trying to put potential buyers on alert but tbh it would put me off if I was looking at buying him.

Prima Donna punt him at first opportunity.

I can understand someone slating the standard of Scottish football if it was clear that he was head and shoulders above that standard but he isn't so his comments are worthless. Accept the best money we can get for him and move on.

lawman I agree, when you think of big Virgil, Wanyama who clearly stood out as too good for the league and they didn’t say anything just got on with it, you could understand they might want to try something new but Ntcham as much as he is good hasn’t shown anything of consistency to say he is above the level, thing with some players mostly the foreign ones you hope they buy into Celtic and love the club like Lustig did, but I think some see it as a stepping stone so have no real loyalty and think they can say whatever to get the big move. I’d let him go for the right price and if that wasn’t met then not play him until he is desperately needed, and play a hungrier player who really wants to be at the club.

{Ed007's Note - The same VVD that said:

"If the correct amount is placed on the table, then they will really think about it, yes. If Celtic want to earn money from me, the club must act now. There has been interest every summer and winter, especially from the Premier League. I stood there open to it, but Celtic decided not to sell me at that time. Yes, I was very disappointed with that.
Will this be the summer of Virgil van Dijk getting a transfer? I hope so. It’s about time. It is time for a new challenge.
This year I’ll turn 24 and I need something new. More pressure, better opponents. Especially when you think of the European Championships next year. I want to be in the team in France."

I'm also disappointed he didn't get his move to Porto😆.

Awful season looked lazy and disinterested and couldn't pass the ball a few feet away to a player in hoops. Get rid he's a wasted Jersey when playing with that attitude.

I am a big fan of ntchams but like ANY player and I mean any, if he doesn't want to be here then punt him.
And that really goes for any player in the squad.

Said a few months ago ntcham wasn’t interested and this just confirms it! It’s the usual boring old tactic to slag the standard of the league blah blah blah! Take the money and reinvest it in someone who actually wants to be here! Ntcham is a good player but he’s no world beater by a long shot! Get rid and move on with someone who can actually contribute this season!

Think that's selective memory steve bhoy. Both VVD and wanyama came out wanting to leave and worked there ticket.

Well the guy has laid his card out on the table now. Talented player no question but his performances and attitude have dipped massively over the last season with the exception of an odd good game. Clearly the guy head and heart are no longer at Celtic and this was very clear in the old game at ibrox and hibs where is was shocking to say the least. Hopefully Celtic can sell him on asap and reinvest in players who want to play for this great club.

Ntcham is a fantastic talent no doubt about it, but to slate Scottish football is not on. I don't like that from a player, take big Moussa for instance he never done that nor the club. Only BR he slated. I'd be shifting Ntcham out asap even at a reduced price of say 10m get him off the wage bill ( an increased wage at that )

Get someone in that wants to be here for sure 💚🍀.

There’s definitely a player in ntcham that’s for sure however if the quotes are correct then he’s hardly in a position to slate the competition in Scotland as his performances since his pal left for Lyon have been crap at best, non more so that two performances against a very poor st mirren side which stick in my mind more than most. £10 million upwards and it’s a Ta Ta fae me.

06 Jul 2019 12:43:49
Haha Ok looks like I’ve been told there! Point I was trying to make anyway is they don’t have loyalty to us and don’t buy into it so we are a stepping stone club for these type of players. But Virgil and Wanyama were consistent and showed they were better than the league, Ntcham has the look of a player who had just given up.

Stuck up for Ntcham but np point keeping an unhappy player. By all accounts the young Ecuador player sounds like a decent prospect.

Agree vvd wanted away but at least he kept his performances up and attitude was sound this guy has chucked it months ago.

I was a fan of Ntcham when he played to his ability I really like his style in midfield.

But for almost the whole season he has been garbage. If he thinks he would be better off some where else then the club should tell his agent to find him another team and get his sorry ass out of Celtic Park.

The money we get for him could be used to bring in quality players like the ones who have already been brought in this summer .

(Sips another drink of his grape juice 😉)

I've never really seen what all the fuss is about with Ntcham. He's overrated, imo. He's had a handful of good games in his time here, but most of the time he's torture to watch. His shooting has been consistently shocking since his arrival and his passing recently has been abysmal. Now he thinks he's too good for this league? Deluded. He's not half the player Calmac is, for example. I would have bitten Porto's hand off last year.

06 Jul 2019 15:08:51
For me, and I know not everyone will agree, but if what he’s reportedly said is true then Celtic must find a way of moving him on. His performances mostly last year were honking and if his attitude isn’t great then we don’t want that rubbing off on anyone around him. Again if quotes are to be believed he wouldn’t kick a ball in my starting 11. Get the money and move him on.

Sooner he is gone the better. Done nothing last season for us apart from score against skintco.

Ntcham has had good games but the poor games certainly outnumber them. He seemed to lose interest when his move to porto fell through and moussa got his move, possibly breaking that wee french cliche that seemed to be there with moussa, ntcham and odsonne, as odsonne has also taken a dip in performances. Was hoping Julien and possibly purraid would help him refocus and kick on, but now id just accept a decent bid and let him fail elsewhere.
