We have known for months that Mika and Boyata would leave and that Benkovic would return. Surely we should have had a shortlist of targets and even if we had to go to No3 or 4 on the list should have had both a RB and CH in the door by now. NL must be hugely frustrated. This is one of the reasons we perform poorly in Europe - last minute signings.

Definitely Chinks, I don't understand why we don't get our business done early. We're supposed to be a 'big' club and that's what big clubs do. HH.

We are bobthecat a massive club but we are in a poor league and that’s the problem now a days .
Players should look at Van Dijk wanhama dembele Larson
And look where they ended up after playing for the hoops

It's been like this for a wee while now; knowing well in advance what positions we are struggling in, but failing to replace or recruit with the quality needed/ expected.
Instead we have stockpiled guys like Compper, Gamboa, Hendry, Izzy and several midfield players that can't be trusted week in week out, or even in some cases do a job as cover?
This contributes to our problems as we are wasting money while we have such a bloated squad and it's obvious we need to offload.
It was well documented that the previous manager had some friction with PL regarding transfers etc and NL could have the same dilemma?
