Haven't a clue what the club has offered the boy or what the boy has asked for but I'd take the gamble and get him signed up.

Our scouts coaches will know all about his ability from the u20s. He's 19 His first season stepping up he scores 16 goals in under 40games from midfield, can pass and shoot with both feet confidently, puts a shift in and has the bottle to step up to take penalties.

When was the last time a 19yr SCOTS lad who can use BOTH feet scores 16 goals from midfield in his first season.

Conclusion: take the gamble and sign him up. He's only going to get better.

James Forrest uses both feet and scored more.
No way the boy should get near 20 grand a week. He's done nothing to warrant it.
What would the likes of Ajer be doing if this boy gets that money?
He's be straight up to lawwells door and he wouldn't be only one.

Get this boy signed up and stop messing about
Offer him £15 grand as I think he will be worth every penny
He scored 15 goals in his first season from midfield for MOTHERWELL.

Jinky mic. Gave him is £15m per wk and let whoever is the manager in a couple of years hawk him all round Europe trying to get someone to take him off our hands . This happens every year exciting talent comes we pay over the odds wkly wages to get him to sign . Player becomes complacent with big money .
D D tells them to sell before they can sign.

Fair point old man Chris but I think this lad Is the real deal
Let’s not let him slip through our fingers and at Celtic he can only get better.

Don't offer a penny more and give him till Friday to make decision. Realistically a fully fit Christie will keep him out team. Would rather they bring in Harper from West Brom.

Correct Kev. The lad is a terrific prospect but no one is bigger than the club. Let him go to England. We don't have time to mess around. Move onto the next target.

What if what he's asking for is more than some of the guys already there doing a job this would put noses out of joint maybe cause a rift and de rail the whole club we don't know what was offered or asked for as you say but we have to trust the club will do what's right for the whole club just my opinion.

I can’t see this working now on a number of fronts. He’s cast doubts over us being the club for him. There’s risk over upsetting the dressing room with his wage claims. If we agree to a first team place to seal the deal and he’s not good enough to fill the shirt as has happened before, then his ego and demands could be his downfall.

I say we move on.

Complete different situation with McGinn. Lawell and Board wanted teach B R a lesion as they thought he was too flash and easy buying players in previous window which were no benefit to Celtic, so PL wanted to bring Brendan down a peg or two and rightly or wrongly we. missed out on McGinn.
Boat was pushed out for Turnbull and it appears either him or his agent doesn't want him at Celtic .
If so we will survive.
