I'm still at a loss as to why some fans still want to offload Kouassi, in my opinion I wouldn't be letting the lad go anywhere. Due to the resurgence of Broony under BR it has been unfortunate he hasn't made the team. Ok he probably hasn't made the impact that many fans would have hoped for so far but in my opinion he is exactly of player we should be looking to replace Brown with. Young, strong, combative and a bit more defensive minded. I have every faith that this young lad will come good given the time to do so.

Hasn't shown enough I think, if fit I would loan him out but don't know how long his contract runs for so would be pointless then.

He's had good games but never really had a fair run in the team. Might have the same issue playing him and Brown as we do with Brown and Ntcham holding. Both too similar. Think Kouassi has got a bit more about him playing the ball forward than Brown.

From what I can remember it was suggested that this kid could eventually replace Broonie in the team, he was 19 when we signed him so was never going to walk into the team anyway!

He has Bravetart. A defensive mid who looks up - on paper that's what we need. Although I'd like to see a bit more of him, for one reason or another he hasn't made an impact. This is why I find it strange that people want to off-load Ntcham to go and get Turnbull when we have Kouassi, Bitton, Mulumbu + Allan's wages. If we're trimming the squad and shifting the 'dead wood' etc. surely it's these players that should be going first.

Koussai has only started something like 12 league games since he arrived 3 years ago and 2 league starts this season. His replacing brown was said a while back but don't see it myself. Far too injury prone for me and going into his last year. For a guy who cost 3 million plus he has been a disappointment. Would definitely sell him on if possible.

Agree JimTim I'd much rather move on Allen, Mulumbu and Bitton and keep Kouassi. He played well the 2 games he played this season until his season ending injury. Needs a bit more drive in him and dominate the midfield like what we seen against Zenit. I'd rather Rogic and Ntcham go too as he looks totally disinterested since Dembele left and could get us 2 quality players with the fee we got.
