Ed, how's things yir no sounding a happy man. I find it really hard to believe that Celtic didn't even speak to another candidate. I'd rather believe somebody knocked us back than believe there was nobody else approached. What do you think?

{Ed007's Note - There will have been an approach to Clarke who was always going to say no and I think Moyes was sounded out in case Lennon had failed to land the Treble.}

It’s certainly left us all a bit flat Ed hard not to see it as a big come down from 15,000 being there to welcome the wee suntanned fella. That was on the back of our cup defeat to the Govanites surely Dermot Desmond and Peter Lawwell knew that’s what was required to put a marker down again particularly as they’ve closed the gap and improved considering since then. Strange one. I think Clarke would have done a job he can definitely set a team up not to lose which is more than can be said for Rodgers.

{Ed007's Note - Well if Desmond and Lawwell did know what was required they must have forgotten it. If Lennon had still been at Hibs - who were sitting 8th in the league before he definitely wasn't sacked or definitely didn't resign, honest - would he even have been considered?}

Got my cynical hat on again but I don't suppose it's possible that Lawwell had a word with Lennon to leave Hibs cos he knew Rodgers was going to quit?

{Ed007's Note - Maybe Florian Kamberi went behind a building and pulled his face off Scooby Doo style and it was Lawwell all along..... and he'll get away with it if it isn't for us pesky fans.}

Ed, i'm pretty certain that Lennon was tipped off about Rodgers going and stirred it at Hibs, to be asked to leave.

{Ed007's Note - So he didn't even have the balls to tell Hibs the truth, isn't that just being as much a snake as Rodgers was if not worse? I'll guarantee you this, nobody will try and take Lennon from Celtic.}
