My guess is that Rodgers did not leave for the money as he had chances before to go to EPL and didn't take them and Leicester are hardly a big club down there.

Obviously I can't say for certain but my guess is his relationship with his boss deteriorated and eventually jumped ship when the opportunity came.

Anyone that has worked somewhere they hate their boss will know the feeling well and how glad you are to move on and get away from them.

I personally don't have an issue with him leaving but I am disappointed that he chose to do it at a crucial time in the season.

Spot on we have problems in various areas of the club that need fixed.

Unless we begin to act like a big club again and building properly then we won't be an attractive prospect for any high level player or manager.

He's not the first Celtic manager that has had problems with their boss - and I am not just talking about Lawell.
Even big Jock was treated shabbily towards the end of his tenure and there have been several other high profile issues over the years.
The Board - or their link-man to the boss has rarely ran smoothly one way or another and I honestly can't see this changing.

In Brendan’s statement he released today, he says he feels he developed Celtic as far as he could possibly! he loved working with the players wishes them the best, sounds like a dig at the board to me he always said now was the time to take Celtic to the next level when your on top basically strike while the irons hot but Lawwell and co seem happy with domestic domination and maybe a miracle European win.

Celtic are a big club.
At present the money in the top leagues right now is frightening, we can't come close to competing anywhere near that level. Playing in Scotland, it is what it is.
Spending 50 million still won't get us into the last 16 of the champions league.
We should just concentrate on dominating Scottish football until the day when the tv money dries up or the big leagues get into financial trouble due to the rediculous wages they have found themselves paying out.
Most clubs are in tonnes of debt, yet our club is run brilliantly and some fans are still complaining.
We should sit back and enjoy what is happening to our club with a treble treble and maybe one day the finances in football will have a meltdown and at least it won't involve Celtic.
