If/when Southampton come in with a better bid would many of you go for a return for boruc. Was amazing for them last year but obviously will know Koeman isn't after forster to challenge but to be his number one

He hasn't lost his knack of making clangers but still a good keeper. I don't think it's a step forward though or a move with potential to step forward. Wouldn't be the end of the world though if we got what we wanted + Boruc.

Yea totally agree lad. Just a we bit worrying if we got a good bit of money for it not to be invested back in to the team again. And also the fact neither of our 3 gks have been a regular in the past 3 seasons or that

Who knows maybe fasan is our new David Marshall??

I never think you should bring players back but he is still of good quality but surely does not match the signing policy and PL wouldn't be too happy to splash out on his wages

Good points. Personally, I don't remember any great player who has left, a club then returned later and been as good as when they left. Could be missing some so let's see what fellow Tim's remember. Any players returned and been as good as before?

{Ed007's Note - Here's your, very limited, choice of CFC players. I think that's them all.......

Davidson (1970-74 and Mar-Nov 1979), Charlie Nicholas (1980-83 and 1990-95), Frank McAvennie (1987-89 and 1993-94), Peter Somers (1897-1901 and 1902-1910), Johnny Campbell (1890-95 and 1897-1903), Bertie Auld (1957-61 and 1965-71), Willie Fernie (1948-58 and 1960-61), John McCann (1892 loan spell and 1893 signed for three games), Patrick McAuley (1940-41 and 1942-1950), Charlie Mulgrew (2002-06 and 2010-present) and Shaun Maloney (1999-2007 and 2008-11) have all had two spells at Celtic Park as players.
Successes I can think of elsewhere are Mark Hughes (Man Utd/Barca), Ian Rush (Liverhampton/Juventus), Graeme The Sock (Chelsea/Blackburn) and at a stretch Duncan Disorderly (Everton/Newcastle).}

I can't remember John McCann both his spells were before my time .

Taking into account all those you have listed Ed007, do you think many have been as good or better in their second term .

{Ed007's Note - Nah, not really, do you? I suppose some will say Mulgrew but granted he's a better player than the one that left but I just don't rate him.}
