Should be good for him. I think he looks lost at times when playing for us, especially if he starts a game. Seems to be better when he comes on late in a match.

He has a lot to learn so a loan will help him. I would be happy to see an 18 month loan but i think it will be just until end of this season.

Would be beneficial for his development to go out on loan and get a solid run of matches under his belt. Said in an earlier post about a potential loan or keep depending on our situation with injuries. But we look like we'll be well covered for the 2nd half of the season. I hope it's to a prem team and not lower league.

No disrespect to the young man but from what I’ve seen of him to date he is another “promising “ young player who is never quite going to make it at Celtic but yes send him out on loan to get game time experience, toughen him up and hope it brings him on but at the moment he isn’t looking anything special, slow of foot and thought and not got enough awareness of the movements the of the players around him just my opinion ✋?.

I don't think we give our young players enough of a chance, the slow or late developers are discarded as not being good enough, and are shipped out too soon, because the demand for success trump's everything, this has a detrimental effect on the players development, but that's not important, all that matters is blindly striving for success, and that is done by buying in supposedly better players and paying them obscene wages, because you know that will guarantee that they play better, the last few years are laden with examples of such players, who, I won't bother naming, but the support goes along with it, because they know the young Celtic players coming through, aren't good enough, won't be good enough, just hark back to what the majority were saying about Ralston after his first few games,

We have been giving Johnston chances for 5 years. How long do we give young guys who just aren't good enough, if we want to improve? Put him out on loan, because right now he is nowhere near good enough to get in the team. That's just life, if it wasnt, we would all have played for the Tic. If I could come to terms with not being good enough, I can certainly do the same for others. Not giving young players a chance isn't the problem. Them not being good enough to take it is.
