Does anyone else not think we miss a trick by not exploiting the South American Market?

I was on transfermarkt earlier and players playing in top flight Brazilian league are valued quite cheap!

Porto exploit the South American leagues and their return from investments is unbelievable, in a 10 year period they made 776m in sales!

We are the perfect club to allow players to progress and be in the shop window for teams from premier league and the rest of Europe.

However Ed you might be able to help out here are there work permit issues for players from South America?

{Ed002's Note - Yes, there would be Work Permit issues in England and Scotland for cheap South American players. It is much less of a problem in other countries, such as Portugal.}

Language spoken, climate and culture will play a big part with these players and who they sign for.

If you're Argentinian or Brazilian a move to Spain or Portugal makes perfect sense.

Playing Malaga when it's 25 degrees and the sun's splitting the rocks or Dundee when it's 10 degrees and pishing down - I know what I would choose.

Not possible unless these guys are International players due to work permit regulations at which point they are not affordable.
Markets we should be exploiting are Netherlands, and the Scandinavian leagues. The players play in similar climates, their own leagues of similar standard and our finances dwarf the majority of clubs in these leagues.
In Netherlands in particular the technical abilities of players are very high and bargains are there, just look at Larsson a Scandinavian player playing in Netherlands or Virgil Van Dijk.
Majority speak English and have a good track record in our country.

Good points all round there!

Some cracking players to get in the Eredivise

Kyogo's national team mate Yukinari Sugawara from AZ Alkmaar, RB for 2.7m absolute bargain!

Jordan Teze CB from PSV, 6.7m is a snip for him his value will go right up in the future!

Danilho Doekhi from Vitess absolute unit of a CB, 2.7m absolute bargain again

Maximiliano Romero 2.7m from PSV decent striker

I thought the Eredivise would be an expensive market but seems reasonable.

Turner, transfermarket is not an accurate transfer fee website. Some people like your self take it as if it Is the gospel.

Juninho Juarez Pena Emerson Schiedt are few reasons why we don’t look at that market.

All this talk of players from European markets is a bit more difficult now because of brexit. Previously EU players could move freely within the single market, not the case now, and we are left on the outside looking in.
