See Jack hendry being linked with Burnley, he's obviously doing something right.

I've been as harsh on him as anybody and deservedly so in my opinion but if he's come on leaps and bounds, and a deal hasn't been agreed with another club yet, then I'd be happy enough for the new manager to run the rule over him in the summer.

Don't know kev but all the reports are excellent. it took ajer to go on loan and learn the trade, who knows he might be worth keeping if we can.

When I watched him before, he had all the attributes to be a good centre back, then a mistake comes and he loses it for the game and the crowd get on his back, putting more pressure on him.
If as he’s got a bit older, and a bit more experienced he may turn out a better player, hopefully under a new coach who improves players can have a look at him. With all the players going back or leaving, we may need him for the qualifiers .

I might be wrong but I think our ship has sailed with Hendry. My understanding is that a fee has been agreed with Oostende as part of the original loan deal and if they want to sign him for that fee then the deal is done. They could sign him on day one of the Summer transfer window and sell him to another club for more the next day. HH.

Still needs Hendry to agree personal terms though. If he knows he has a shot at Celtic he may want to come back.

Always get the Benny hill tune in my head. When Jack Hendry is mentioned the night at Partick Thistle was hilarious 😂😂😂😂.

This is a funny one for me. If it was reported we were siging one of the best CBs in Belgium we would all be quite happy with that but it being hendry fans are binning the idea straight away.
Was he thrown in to early then hung out to dry?

Possibly kev but like ajer needs time, we expect our young players to hit levels they ain't ready, so by a accounts he's ripping up a far superior league to ours.

I say get him back for sure, I thought he had decent attributes for someone untested playing for a club like Celtic. I always remember BR saying the plan was to bring him in and develop him over time, that sadly never happened due to our defensive troubles he was thrown in too early maybe.
Get him back and give him a chance.

{Ed007's Note - Thankfully Hendry doesn't want to return to Celtic, the fee and his contract is agreed with Oostende and it was the player that pushed for the option to buy as he is fed up moving around.
Even if Hendry could come back would you want the Club to give him an extended contract as he only has a year left on his current one?}

There's an article on him on BBC's Scottish football section today that states Wolves and Weirder Bremen are interested in addition to Burnley. He also stated in that article "if Celtic want to keep me, that's something they would need to make a decision on". To me that sounds like he's open to coming back for another shot. With the reviews he's getting I'd definitely bring him back for the new manager to have a look at and if he doesn't like him, ship him out to one of the other suitors for more than we've agreed with Oostende.

I hear there's a clause in the contract for them to buy him if they want. However, if we said to Hendry we'd bump his wages and extend by a year or two we could probably get round that as the player needs to sign off on a permanent move too. He could be a dud but he appears to be making waves over there and the interest from other teams shows he could be worth another look.
