I feel for Duffy. He's a massive Celtic fan and he has genuinely tried his best but the reality is that his best is not good enough. Couple that with the fact that he has came into a team with seemingly uninterested players and a manager who doesn't seem to be sure if Friday follows Thursday and it doesn't really give the lad much of a chance from the get go. There's a reason why he wasn't getting a game at Brighton and that is because he just isn't good enough any more. Same as Broony, yet for some reason he still seems to be the first name on the teamsheet for every game. He'd be a bigger asset off the pitch and getting in around the lads in coaching and motivation than he is nowadays on it. Also, I think he'd do a better job than Lennon if he were in charge. HH.

Its a shame it didn't work out for him as he seems a decent lad but serious questions need to be asked about our scouting. Surely anyone who analysed Duffy would know about the lack of pace and see he would be unsuitable given our tactical shape?

its not that he is not good enough bestybhoy. duffy is a backs to the wall defender were teams pile everything into his box and he puts his body on the line and battles for all the crosses into the box which is why he stood out at Brighton under Chris Houghton who was defensive which is why he was shown the door in the end up and graham potter was brought in.

Brighton were wanting to start playing better football when they brought graham potter in and that's why duffy did not fit in as he is not that type of defender that can play in a higher line he will get caught out a lot tracking back.

which is why he is struggling at us as we play a very hi line if duffy were to fit in anyway at a back 3 with us he would need to kind of play as a sweeper type away back and let Julien and ajar play the higher line were duffy main job is to stay back and protect the box. his confidence is gone and i really hope he gets it back and it works out for him.

None of the players look up to it at the moment so maybe harsh on singling him out. Another manager needs to come in and get the best out the players.

Hopefully a few French guys follow him as they have give up a long time ago in my opinion. That being eddy and ntcham.

Eddy looked decent against Hibs and Sparta he might slowly be coming back to form.

There were a lot of people on here singing Duffy's praises, saying he is a no nonsense ch. They also said he was the type of defender we are looking for. I don't recall anyone saying he wasn't good enough, I don't watch anything other than celtic. So I could only go on what guys on here thought. I don't watch EPL or efl or any other football that doesn't include celtic. So I can only go on players I have seen and that ch at Motherwell Gallagher I think his name is looks good.
