I'm a left-footer but don't play with my left foot so why does it matter that we can't have a right-footer who doesn't have to be a left-footer playing on the left? Tom Boyd was a right-footer and played on the left at times and didn't do too badly. I'm sure there are plenty of right-footers who can be played on the left who would do a helluva lot better than many left-footers who ply their trade on the left. Look at KT, he was a left-footer who played with his left-foot on the right at times and did better than some right-footers. I rest my case.

I don't think being left footed is the determining factor but it's a factor

It means you can deliver width and counter opponents trying to go outside.

Ideally we want someone who is

2 footed
Stronger on left foot
Strong and agile
Pacey
Good at crossing
Good at tackling
Good at interplay with left midfielders
Can come inside with ease
Can dominate
Preferably tall (ish)
Track record in 20 plus assists a season
Ability to score around 5 to 6 per season ( with both feet and the head)
Good at delivering setpieces in terms of delivery
Got at defending set pieces
Can play LB LM or LWB. ideally also LW
Good international experience
Proven
Good under pressure

Inexpensive
And not wanting a decent wage

How hard can it be?

Oh, and can illustrate a liking of Celtic or a hatred of sevco.
