We're supposed to have knocked back an offer from Milan for ajer.

Just seen that . Sky Italy reporting we knocked back an offer, have spoke to his agent to see if he would be interested in the move? Says celtic are looking for 27 million for ajer? Fair play if they get it lol but personally a don't think he is worth anywhere near that .

del bhoy he has a lot of potential and he will be a leader you can see the drive in the bhoy already a full international. a good season or two over there and he will be getting valued at 50 mill and so on. its about time wee made a stand and started demanding top dollar for our top players were a massive club and were right to demand it look at all our top stars that leave they go on to prove it in the so called big leagues. the days of our top stars leaving for pennies is over.

When VVD came to us he was 22 with no caps, no European experience and had never won anything.
We just paid between 7 and 8 million no caps no European experience no medals.
A player of Ajers experience at his age is well worth that money in this market.

I think 20million is top dollar if celtic can get 25million with a decent sell on then it's good deal. he's not going to be here forever and this time next summer he's a year less on his contract
Hard to sell a 1st team regular this close to the season starting but and with so much ahead.

Liam to buy that type of experience at that age from any other team from any other league you would expect to pay that sort of money at least. Look at guys like Stone going for 50 million. The full back man utd just sign from Palace after same age as Ajer less than 50 professional games. Double the price of KT and not any better.
Its about time we are getting proper money for these players.

i definitely get that point kev absolutely mate and we all want top dollar for any of our players that may be sold. to get that kind of money that's been mentioned for ajar would be some business. there a players out there for a fraction of the price that would be an improvement on ajar and i know i will get stick for saying that but my opinion for me julien is a far better defender and for 7million.

The reasons I've mentioned are why jullian was cheaper and truth be told I don't think he's that far ahead of Ajer. He isn't tough enough for me. Every team that plays us should be putting a heavy hitting centre forward against him.

Big Ajar is my favourite Celtic player.
I love his desire to win and the way he will celebrate his late tackles, like they are goals.
If he decides to stay at Celtic he will be our future Captain.
It would make a huge difference to Ajar’s game if he played on the right side of the defence. He is constantly played on the left side of a back 3 and he is always played on the left side when he is partnered up in the central defence in a back 4.
I hope he stays and Celtic buy a top class left footed CB and then we can utilise Ajar’s full potential on the right side of defence.
I loved it when he filled in at right back. His intelligence was exceptional, the way he would always play in a low ball straight to Edouard’s feet.

ninja. its just the way we operate mate but i know what you mean some season we just have to knock all offers for big players back and keep the squad together and add 1 or 2 quality signings to kick on in Europe and keep dominating and some seasons big offers have to be accepted. every player has there price no matter what club you play for look at neymar one of barcas top players a 200 mill cheque was wrote and he was off.

I also love big ajers heart aswell there's no denying that. i actually prefer him at RB I've never seen him have a bad game there and his best game in a Celtic jersey for me was couple seasons ago in the mestalla he was the best player on the park.

Agree Stones is always the example I use. Said at the time to my pub league supporting friends VVD was 10 times the player of Stones and we sold him far too cheap. Joelington is the example I use for Edouard. If true we've every right to slap £40m on Edouard he's worth every penny of it and sick of us losing our best players on the cheap only to see their value double after a season in a better league.

Cant understand why Ajer isn't rated higher on here. He is young and will make mistakes. I think his reaction to mistakes is top quality. He hurts and that will make him more determined to improve. Boyata plays for the number one ranked country in the world. Ajer is a far better footballer and will become a better defender. We will struggle to replace him.
